That is definitely an effective way of grabbing our attention. :)
  2. ^I meant to say "in addition to being banned"..

if you are going to be at either the Clinic or UH, I'd recommend driving around South Park Blvd and the Shaker Lakes area of Shaker Heights. While you're at it, check out Shaker Square. These areas are both very close to the medical centers. Also, check out Coventry (between Euclid Hts Blvd and Mayfield), Cedar-Fairmount and Cedar-Lee in Cleveland Heights. These are all close the the hospitals. The housing stock in these areas are also very impressive.
  4. i was in Pittsburgh over the past few days. Good to see Great Lakes on tap in many locations as well as many GLBC signs around the bars. One waitress commented that they don't have as many great lakes beers in stock because she drinks a lot of them.
  5. I live in Ohio City with my wife and two very young kids (3 and 7 months). Ohio City/Detroit-Shoreway has seen a mini-baby boom over the past two years. Urban Community School is definitely a great choice and tuition is on a sliding scale (depending on income levels). Google it and you'll see it is sort of a dream school.
  6. We need some robinhood action around here.
  7. "inquiries from outside Ohio" I sure wish that meant signed leases from companies outside Ohio.
  8. wishful thinking: maybe someone can steal it
  9. The "groundbreaking' so far consists of the fact that they cleared the land of all vegetation. Still, construction supposedly is going to start soon. Glad to hear about the 4 presales. This construction will help close in the site a bit better on the eastern half.
  10. I heard from City Living that they have broken ground on a new set of townhouses for battery park. They have sold 4 of the 9 units in this phase.
  11. I can't say that I feel good about this one at all. Without an effective Wells, we aren't very effective.
  12. ^That might be for the law firm who is moving over from another downtown location. It might be Fay Sharpe.
  13. ^agreed. In my mind, Wade Chapel in the Lakeview Cemetery is an incredible work that is beautifully unique in Ohio. While the outside is very nice by itself, all of the interior wall space consists of handmade mosaic glass by Tiffany. Insurance companies refuse to insure the building because you can not put a dollar amount on it. It is such a gorgeous piece of art-itecture.
  14. Not sure if this has been mentioned, but there is some new restaurant opening up in the old Sage space in Tremont across from Lincoln Park.
  15. This is a tough one. My concern with the Zaha Hadid is that the building is very young. We lack perspective on its place in architectural history.

If you are going to check out Lakewood, might as well check out Shaker Square. You should also check out some places in Ohio City and Tremont. This site is pretty good for rentals: http://www.clv-lofts.com/ The guy who owns these places is a very good landlord. The Ohio City stuff is located in a some cool places. I think that you should also reconsider taking the rapid or bus. In Ohio City, it is very convenient. There are multiple bus routes and if you live along 25th then you wouldn't have to wait any longer than 3-5 minutes before a bus comes along that will take you into the heart of downtown (during rush hour).

Golly gee, I sure hope it plays "I like that old time rock-n-roll.." 24-7!!! ;)
  19. What is the base price for that unit? Those floor plans really make good use of the space.
  20. DocBroc, How many townhouse units have been built and how many of those are sold?
  21. ^and they are doing it quickly and en masse. It really is amazing how quickly things can get done when it is necessary (office tenant leases).

What households? Seriously, in ten years there will not be anything here but green grass and brownfields.
  23. They'll have to go to design review pretty soon. Once that happens, we should be able to see a rendering for the tower.
  24. They are currently located in the Key/McDonald building at 9th and Superior. I know that they take up two floors there, but I'm not sure if they take up any more than that.
