Visiting Cleveland (for the first time) June 23-26, Need travel tips, Room, etc
The castle in Milwaukee looks super cool. Kind of reminds me of the old Gospel Press building in Tremont (which is being renovated into lofts).

Visiting Cleveland (for the first time) June 23-26, Need travel tips, Room, etc
I think much worse is Union Miles which is generally south east of this area. i don't see how you can get much worse than the forgotten triangle (but there is competition in this city). Also, remember that the guy is going to be car and vespa-free.

Cleveland: University Circle: Cleveland Clinic Developments
I'm sure that they'll add some nice art to the walls. The Clinic is very good at doing that. I love walking around and looking at some of the stuff that they have.

Cleveland: Filling in Euclid Avenue
backing on to the topic.. There are downtown residents and then there are downtown residents. I feel that some of these Euclid Ave apartment projects will have a larger impact on downtown. They will put people in the heart of downtown and help link the different portions of downtown. It will be great to walk from the two Squares and feel the residential density. Don't forget that the apartments above Corner Alley should be ready by this summer sometime. I've heard that they are very cool inside.

^shoot, I was hoping that we could just build a mega jail and call it a day.

Cleveland: Filling in Euclid Avenue
MLS, Welcome to UO! 20,000 or 25,000 is a magic number/goal that a lot of people throw out there. Once you get that type of density, you'll see a lot more retail and neighborhood services showing up. Downtown would be more of a true neighborhood that is self-sustaining and doesn't necessarily need weekend visitors to keep businesses open outside of traditional business hours.

Cleveland: Shaker Heights
As M2S says, they aren't. I think that is one of the reasons why Shaker and Cleveland Hts are so beautiful. The integration of nature, beautiful homes, dense neighborhoods and light rail is very unique.

If you are on the Redline (rapid), you could get off at either the E.55th or E.79th stations and take a look at Cleveland's worst.

Cleveland: Downtown: Convention Center Atrium & Expansion
But the city should really be taking a more proactive role in this.

Recent College Grad moving to Cleveland (please help!)
What day of the week will you be in Cleveland? We could make better recommendations based on when you will be here. For example, there is a big difference between noon in Ohio City on a Saturday and noon on a Sunday.

Cleveland: The Residences at 668 Euclid Avenue
It will be so nice just to renovation begin. This is one of downtown's biggest black eyes. The E.4th energy currently dies as it smacks into the 668 brickwall.

^I don't see how KD is proposing a replacement of the Holiday Inn. Previous comments: if you read more closely, you'd find that people lament the loss of the Dollar, but that the sum gain is a huge positive for Euclid Avenue.

Signature Structure for Cleveland
Good Lord, where is an administrator for this thread!!!!!!!!!! BACK ON TOPIC!!!!!!!!!

Cleveland: The Residences at 668 Euclid Avenue
I think that this is a real linch pin downtown. Even though it provides less units, it is more important than the Avenue District. This project propels both Euclid and Prospect from E.4th to E.9th. It is so so so important.

Signature Structure for Cleveland
Most people don't know it, but Cleveland has more moving bridges than any other city in the world. That is a unique aspect to Cleveland, but it is hard to frame it. The swing bridge on its own is not so great, but it is symbolic of the many different types of moving bridges that Cleveland has. It also is the bridge that many partiers and residents take in the Flats--therefore it is pretty symbolic

Could Cincinnati/Dayton be in line for an NBA team?
I'm not sure about Detroit, but I know that Oakland has trouble filling its stadium these years. Otherwise, most NFL teams fill up their stadiums.

Cleveland: Public Square Redesign
Is that the building due north of the old stone church? If so, then it sure was a dumb mistake not to put in windows. Did they think that the ol church was going to be knocked down and redeveloped?

Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
There are a lot of factors that make Ohio City what it is. In looking at what we expect it to become, a lot of people ignore the strength of those factors.
