Cleveland: Downtown: Convention Center Atrium & Expansion
^I'm skeptical, but I remember reading the failed Alabama attempt and thinking that it was watered down as compared to what could happen here.

15 things we love about Cincinnati
I love the view of your skyline as I drive north on 71/75 from Kentucky. I think it rivals the most famous skylines that we have in this country.

Cleveland: Steelyard Commons
^isn't it restricted because they chose to clean it up only to a standard that is sufficient for retail? If they really wanted to, they could have cleaned it up to the point where residential would be possible. Still, I really don't think that it would have been a good place for new housing.

Is that in the Star Bank (US Bank) building?

Cleveland: Downtown: Convention Center Atrium & Expansion
I'm assuming that the MM folks would have no problem if it were downtown. I'd bet that they are using the midtown/UC location as a bargaining chip so that they can get more money out of the county when they finally agree to put it downtown.

Cleveland: Cleveland State University: Development and News
The new Barnes & Noble is the only thing that has happened. However, it does appear that some prep work is being done in anticipation for the in-fill loft building. The parking lot next to B&N is has been fenced off for a few months and some work is being done on the adjacent building walls.

Cleveland: Downtown: Convention Center Atrium & Expansion
Punch, If you put it on Scranton Peninsula, then it would be cut off from the rest of downtown. The rest of downtown would not be able to benefit from the the development. We need to maximize the spin off effect of this development.

Why does it seem that most people hate Cleveland?
Aren't you leaving? Yes, that doesn't mean I don't love Cleveland. I though maybe you were being facetious. I saw your other post about how you said you can't wait to leave.

Yes, the block clubs and CDC have already mobilized. Mayday, the club isn't buying Moda. They'd be a tenant.

Word is that another nightclub is trying to occupy the old Moda spot. The neighborhood is investigating. I also heard that a very classy restaurant is looking at the old City Budha location.

Peabody, you're so vague with some of these comments. I sense that you know something, but its a little unfair to dangle it out there like you do. Its not for gossip sake that I'd like to find this stuff out. I'd like to know as an individual who votes and who works with the city

Cleveland: Retail News
There will be a larger one (Heinens) built in about two years on the east bank of the Flats.
