The 9
Great photo tour Yes the Vault is terrific. Ha! And beats being rubble. The building is standing and really thats all that matters right now. it can always be re-done. Not going to happen anytime soon. uggh...I wish the Dollar Bank Bldg was here to mis-decorate These 2 are to-die-for. I'd have been first in line for these had there been a small chance they were available after demolition (Luckily all that is moot) http://www.urbanohio.com/forum2/index.php/topic,27803.0.html

^True, i try to include people shots but i can also understand the guys coming in from out-of-town just doing a city's building inventory/highlights. Purely anecdotal here... this building (i know it as the Bonwit-Teller Bldg, anyway not important) is the one building that i've overheard being commented on most frequently by people walking by it from across the street. It helps that it is midway between the Wyndham Hotel and Starbucks....some hotel guests walk over to Starbucks for A.M. coffee. With the morning sunshine on it , as in Eridony's pictures, i've heard more than a couple times..."wow, that building's beautiful"- Cleveland: Downtown: The 9 / Rotunda / County Admin Development
For the floors that were open to the July tour, the drop-ceiling tiles had been removed and it looks like they... along with the suspencion grid... are off in these pictures. The suspension grid was not off in July I dont know if i'm right (because there were never lights going all night, like now) but the deletion of the drop-ceiling appears to be the reason for providing partial views of the Rotunda (murals and dome) -- at night -- for pedestrians on the sidewalk or even from your vehicle at a traffic light. Looking in is now quite dramatic i dont think this is my imagination. I hope this is always the case and the drop ceiling is forever nixed.- Cleveland: Random Photos
Nothing better than Ohio City/Market Sq on Saturday morning and Little Italy on saturday late afternoon/evening- CLEVELAND - Just Chillin'
Congratulations MayDay on the book deal! I think i wouldve tried to get in the Dollar Bank Bldg too It looks almost turn-key for a rooftop bar, infrastructure already there. It added to the time-travel of architecture one can see when walking up and down Euclid Ave. A structural loss for sure The space left is not all that big - somewhat narrow- so, fortunately, its not a huge open space. Plus the varying backs and sides of the buildings around the space are kinda interesting and do a good job at creating a texture, SAVE FOR ONE. Im totally in agreement that the mammoth brick wall on the west side of 668 Bldg needs sth on it (painted wall signage, mural, living wall...etc)- Cleveland: University Circle (General): Development and News
Cleve School of the Arts ?this must open summer or fall 2015- CLEVELAND - Just Chillin'
Now that Marcel Breuer's tower has been resurrected and the 60s/70s thing has some good feel going on... how i wish that the Dollar Bank bldg (original name?) was still around (between Marriott residence and pre-restored 668 Bldg). It woulda been great. Especially if youre an aficionado of the good stuff like that- Cleveland: Random Development and News

You know its good when no one's commenting that it was taken on a weekend morning, i.e. lack of activity (im pretty confident that it is a weekend - -or Holiday , Memorial Day? -- morning) Yes the Bradley Bldg and adjacent Root-McBride Bldg are terrific. The danger of them being taken out ~ 1980 led to the efforts to save the Warehouse District, at least what remained. Great pic of the Buckeye Bldg which has become onne of my favorites- Cleveland: University Circle (General): Development and News
Maybe not too many would take pictures ofthings that are in the middle of the street, but i will. anticipating how this will look at night...- Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News

No qualms w the rename here ("Palace" has not been removed, never will be), but i wouldve likedd to see a new marquee for the theater, like one that lights the front of the State Ohio or Hanna. You'd think for 9 mil donation from the Connor family, PHS couldve gotten a replacement marque as such. Maybe still to come?- Cleveland: Downtown: East 4th Street Developments

THese pictures are from the late morning, we were down in the Sci Ctr and outside around the harbor later. In the first pic, that area would be beyond-packed 3 to 4 hrs later. Not to mention all the way out to Burke- Cleveland: University Circle: Uptown (UARD)
