Cleveland: Restaurant News & Info
And congrats on getting the glass block outta there!...its almost gone I saw today. Will be nice to see an active storefront in that part of OC. In news from ' down the street'... a bulldozer is on the premises, and the interior demo is going on, at the old Envy Club. too bad its getting razed for a surface pkg lot. Accdg to OCI it's neeeded, but its a walkability-killer.

Cleveland Guardians Discussion
The gridlocked streets of downtown with Browns traffic erupted with beeping horns, and the peds we're high-fiving and shouting. reminiscent of the streets in the 90s and early 00s after Indians post season games! Hopefully there are more scenes like this coming up!

I took pics of this a few days ago because who knows how long it'll be around. the Fairfax neighborhood is going to have to change their logo (stylized church crosses) on Euclid Corridor stops if this continues unabated

Cleveland: Downtown: Euclid & 9th Tower / Schofield Building Redevelopment
Ive seen this a few nights now, great shot. And its amazing how much lit windows change the feel of a long dormant intersection

Cleveland: Downtown: Gateway District: Development and News
The Clevelander now does have a banner over that old signage that says something like 'pardon our dust, we're under construction' Saw a "Keith Arian Construction" sign go up in the window at the Picadiilly artisan yogurt in OC. THen a few days later the old Indigo restaurant-- Prospect ave side of the 5th street arcades -- evidently had some interior demo going on in that long-vacant space... the next day a Keith Arian Construction sign went up in the window. Wondering if there's a connection

Cleveland: Downtown: Playhouse Square Development and News
^One of my major pet peeves of downtown. I dont think* this cloth net is being removed because the cornice needs work. While Im all for the upcoming improvements (yes, even the chandelier), I'd rather that some funds go to restoring the cornice and nix whatever new lighting, etc it takes to do it. PHS owns the Bulkley so it seems like the money could be transferred from the other projects. * maybe they are? Work going on on the main Hanna bldg. Seems like more than tuck pointing CIbreo's signage on the Hanna

^That is a great thread Maybe these renderings arent doing it justice, so to speak. Btw is this the development associated with Sam McNulty? I remember some mention of him building somehting on Columbus or Abbey. I'm not exactly sure if it was just 1 unit , or multi-units like this. Im probably way off here... ANyway there's going to be a nice new bridge as part of the view

The 60s skin is essentially all off now. So its been 40 to 50 years that the views of the orange bricked Schofield can be seen travelling on Euclid, (approaching the Schofield coming down Euclid from PHS is just absolutely stunning even in the current state of disrepair)

^^The scrubbed vs. unscrubbed areas are such a contrast, the possibility of it being paint is not such a stretch. Especially at quick glance. LOL

I cant imagine this being paint. Strap if it is paint Ill take you out to dinner, restaurant of your choice, next time youre back in Cleveland. I think staying home from work one day is in order, so I can o bserve this firsthand. Anyway, think Root-McBride Bldg/Bradley Bldg vintage of brick (from MayDay's photo thread of several years back http://www.urbanohio.com/forum2/index.php/topic,12409.0.html)
