  1. I would say it's a cement street Main Ave street and sidewalks getting fixed up too. Not to mention W. 9th, yay!
  2. The Embassy closure should definitely help to get a couple of these talked-about hotel projects off the ground. On the other hand, I dont see why downtown apartment rates have to rise across the board, and Im not just saying that as a downtown resident :-). I forget the number of housing units that have been bantered about for the Schofield. For some reason I think Ive heard 24 as the original number, and of course there is a push to increase that. If these apartments need to be the most expensive downtown in order for the building to be re-developed, I think that they can easily find about 50 lessees who would pay 2 - 4 grand to live in what could be Cleveland's most stylish building at a superb location. sidenote: I see that on the CRM website, in the "portfolio" tab, one property appears...the 'Truman Flats'. But when you click on it nothing comes up. That is of course the Truman Bldg at 1030 Euclid Ave. I like the name, btw, I hope they keep it. It'll be interesting to see these units and what they rent for. Shoule be sometime next year... accdg to the crains and PD articles of this past June. At least we're inching closer to this part of Euclid getting some attention. But boy is it ever like pulling teeth. http://www.crminc.us/portfolio/
  3. Yes Calfee is done but CRM is now doing the Chester Commons apartment conversion. I do not know however if the Chester conversion would delay their Schofield project. I think any delays are still economy-driven for the hotel part of the Schofield.
  4. Felix Baumgartner I tell ya... Felix Baumgartner. Lol
  5. A different view of FEB in Oct 2012
  6. It looks like a sizable portion of the 6700 Euclid (new build Geis(?) project) that fronts Euclid Ave will be a school of nursing. Signage is up and interior work is moving fast. Evidently, classes start on January 7. http://www.chamberlain.edu/nursing-schools/campuses/Cleveland-Ohio
  7. Uphill from yesterday's shots

  11. Marktoberfest sounds good to me The first that Ive seen of Town Hall's logo, etc.
  12. ^Yes, great addition. It brings some vibrancy to that area ...and something very different than Winks Side Dish: Beautiful Accent Comes to Uptown http://www.clevescene.com/scene-and-heard/archives/2012/10/12/side-dish-beautiful-accent-comes-to-uptown
  13. There is a parking deck on Prospect Ave between Hanna Annex and E. 17th, I guess they could pay by the month and use it as their garage -- if that's an option. ...at 17th & Euclid, some neew signage
  14. Love Taza Im helping them out with carry-out alone. :-) Havent tried Charkha yet... want to though.
  15. Are there any 'before' pictures of the ground floor ? Fencing has gone up and construction's about to begin on the parking lot/green space at 14th & Prospect Things seem to be really moving fast on this one. Seems like they're on a timetable to get East Ohio Bldg (1717 E. 9th) started -- like this Spring.

Yes that is correct. There was a sign out front though that said "Today is sold out", or something to that effect. Probably weren't allowing anymore people in line. As I said, the line was very looong. fyi...the next free day is November 3.

When I was out at lunch in UC today, MOCA was sold out and a long line waited to get in. ...As would be expected on the first day. Great to see though.
  18. How about late September or Early October....something like...an Oktoberfest??? Seems a natural fit to me. Didn't think of that! Great idea
  19. It was very encouraging to see how many people were out in that weather. Actually i'd hope that any future festivals would be held in October...the weather we've been having has been below normal for most of Sept and Oct... not indicative of the beautiful days that we can get this time of year. Anyway, some pics
  20. Accent is getting closer to opening
  21. Waverly Station pics from several days ago, so it's probably noticeably further along than pictured
  22. In the Nine-Telve District also, but it's down the street (or a stroll through the Galleria) from the Avenue Apts/Townhomes Wasn't open the day of these pics, but "Winks" might be now...
  23. This is really the Nine-Twelve District, but at 12th & Chester it's also at the edge of the Theater District. Conversion of the Chester Commons Bldg into 36 or so apartments, and retail, is moving along
