Work has started at 11327 Bellflower where the original ZBT house recently stood. Don't know what for.

Well, most of the sign out front is pictured here. I cant exactly say except that it looks like it's Frost's future home. I believe that "restaurant and" (not pictured) is before the "office space available"

On the other side of Dunham, this work is continuing along... And across the street, Gallucci's is celebrating their 100th anniversary. Congrats.

I meant to respond to this earlier than now. Wednesday afternoon I did check out what you said and you are very right. I was even looking around for somebody on the site (one that didnt look busy) whom I could show this, but both guys nearby were involved in something else so I didnt bother them. It looks like something that's gonna need resolved sooner rather than later.

D'Vine Times A downtown wine bar gets some love by Douglas Trattner With Heck's Café rolling merrily along in Ohio City and BRGR 9 doing "better than expected" in the Warehouse District, owner Fadi Daoud has made another move. Earlier this month, he purchased D'Vine Wine Bar from the original owners who opened it about 14 years ago. http://www.clevescene.com/cleveland/dvine-times/Content?oid=2993291

^I think that space wont sit empty for too long though. Was on W. 25th earlier and Alaturka was not open...and the front windows were covered in plastic in the same fashion as the under-renovation Ohio City Blooms building next door (renovation for the "Town Hall" bar-restaurant). My first assumption after seeing all of this is that the Alaturka space is going to be part of this upcoming bar-restaurant. And Alaturka is no more :-( Or, it could be that Alaturka is redecorating independent of its next-door neighbors :-)

Is the Shoe Town outlet sign still up? I thought that was going to last as long as the Barbara Anne Bridal sign at the Stanley, or the Goldfish Army/Navy sign. Isn't that the truth. It was nice to see this sign go (along with the shoes that were removed a couple months earlier). The other two signs you mentioned hopefully have their days numbered as well. Nice pics hubz

^Thanks. Speaking of Facebook...according to Barroco Grill's FB, the W. 6th store is ready. They're just waiting on the green light from the city. This is going to be nice to have downtown.

Cleveland: University Circle: Uptown (UARD)
I walked down to Constantino's at lunch today. Personally, I like the way this looks and feels. The finished product for this Phase I is when a more comprehensive evaluation can be made (imo) and that won't be until this autumn. I think in the context of a finished MOCA and, eventually, a CIA expansion and nearly-complete "Alley" and Triangle facelift, this will all come together. My guess is that Phase II and III will be designed to contrast with this. Phase II really needs to kick in rather soon...I dont know if that's the plan but it seems like they're tryiing to synchronize all of this current construction (MOCA, Uptown I, Cotman Vistas (Maximum Accessible Housing), CIA groundbreaking -- fingers crossed) to facilitate the next phases of Uptown. Maybe somebody knows a more exact timeline, if there is one. As a side note, I had my mother in the car a couple days ago and we drove up E. 118th (from Bellflower) past the long side of Constantino's and reached the traffic light at Euclid Ave. My mother, who is not into contemporary design at all, looked out the window towards UTS and also down Euclid Ave (towards Mayfield) and said: OMG, those are gorgeous!

There is a sign on the door of the Clevleand Pickle that says something like: We have an injured pickle and will not be open today. But dont worry, you'll be able to get your Cleveland pickle soon. The sign's been there now for a good week + I don't know what to make of this.

"Fortune Cookie" has some great Cleveland shots ^ Yes, outside of Walter Matthau's law office (I believe) are some views of a brand new Federal Office Bldg (Celebrezze Bldg) and Erieview Tower. I think they are just window props but it is neat.

' Happily, those have all been replaced with ones that are more interesting (have a little more 'ornamentation' -- maybe not the correct word, but nonetheless)
