the 70s facade is off the euclid side

not much of a picture but in the last couple days is the first sign of (partially) finished interior , lighting and windows on ground - 2nd floors.

a small sample of some recent rehabs, and new construction in Ohio city. pics are a couple weeks old(except those of Plum Kitchen, this weekend) so stuff like new construction is certainly farther alng than shown here. new construction is more prevalent than ive seen at anytime in the past, but my observatoin might be wrong. Plum should open sometime near future

awesome to see this progress on detroit (cant wait for Banter). 2 bldgs getting a new lease on life, as 2 were lost across the street (Watterson Elem and the Delahunt)

As of today.... unfortunately the fencing went up

the wall on this building (near the Rapid)was a constant back and forth between graffitti and paint-over. these new murals there will hopefully alleviate that.

Pushing 6 yrs ago now after the 123 yr-old euclid ave Congregational Church burned down, the CCF gets its latest surface lot paved on those ground (in the last week or two) - and maybe a glass box to come in the future :roll: :roll:

If the delahunt bldg is lost it will be an unfortunate turn of events this is what happens without "gentrification." sometimes even with it, but definitly without it.

interior demo has been going on for a couple months - idk exactly on the other side of river, these changs to the Tenk bldg are only a couple weeks old

not too long after officially opening. small and intimate , half "open air" - half w/ 3 walls. "open air" part will be sealed/heated so that it can be all-seasonal

FlipSide open !!

A large group of volunteers accomplished much of this quickly at teh end of the last week. Sat. late afternoon, Mr Vega and a small crew were finishing up just before a heavy rain storm. (for those who didnt know, the former version was painted over at the end of the new Rapid station construction)
