  7. Actually, it was necessary to defer to ODOT's (ongoing) maintenance / restoration of the main ave bridge. Turns out to be fine since the first dining and drinking establishments will only be newly open, or opening soon ....by end of Sept
  8. ETA for water taxi is Sept 25 Initial service between the east and west banks only. THe service later to be expanded to Whiskey island , Merwin's wharf area etc. east bank station will be where it alwys was (under the main ave bridge). the small brick bldg there will eventually be used as a visitors centre (prob next year)
  9. The Grand Arcade condos are getting exterior maintenance. the Waring Block (c. 1855) portion included tuckpointing and repainting. Window replacement started this week

    Southeast Cleveland On the original Newburgh town square before these areas were annexed by fast-growing Cleveland c. 1875 fire station (use unknown when photgraphed)

    i once had several shots of different Cleveland fire stations in the neighborhoods, cant find them. So some new shots in the Flats and on the Cuyahoga river... the home of cleveland fire boat In CLeve (Tremont), now a private home
  15. the walkway around the Schofield ,that partially encroached onto E 9th street, came down today
  16. i read your post while i was in the Phoenix on Bridge Yes the predominant house type in OC is the victorian cottage, Italianate and Queen Anne/Eastlake victorian but the curtain-walled masonry is not absent. OC is a mish mash of late 1800s/early 1900s housing tpyes from the Phoenix upper landing the gatehouse was restored this summer
