Cleveland: Detroit-Shoreway / Gordon Square Arts District: Development News
I find this comment fascinating ... I'm in my mid-fifties and comfortable seating is an issue for me more than it used to be. But I was most recently at the Capitol a month ago in the big theater and the seats were totally fine. Plus, I've never found it to be dirtier than any other movie theater โ and we love its charm and location.

Does anyone know what's happening with the Franklin Yards project / specifically the new townhouses being built north of Franklin? The construction got up to ground level, and since then, very little has happened for 2 weeks or more. Then about a week ago, two of these signs popped up. ๐ค

The new townhouses at Bridge/W47th are getting brickwork done. Also, @KJP any update on the Vibe? The site clearing finished 6+ weeks ago and it's been dormant since. Hoping for some news here soon!

Glad you enjoyed OC! We moved here a year ago from the 'burbs, and after looking for a while. Love it so much.

Except the text literally says this: "clearing the way for a yet-to-be-named Fortune 100 company" The headline when I click the link does not match the one you posted.

Yes, they're really cruising with the Breakwater demolition ... impressive. I was just saying last night how much I want something with Westinghouse to happen. That is such a high visibility site, not just from the Shoreway, but from all around that part of town, including on the bike path. I'm about ready to start the GoFundMe for it myself. ๐

Cleveland: Ohio City: Irishtown Bend Park
So what is that they're putting down? It reminds me of sod, but I don't think it's sod (at least the expensive stuff you put in around a suburban McMansion). And does this mean that worst case scenario for the park โ that it falls back to only a first phase in 2028 โ that there will at least be wide open grassy areas all along the river in the interim? That wouldn't be the worst thing.

@FutureboyWonder don't sell yourself short! I often struggle with those sites, too, and I'm a degreed engineer. ๐คช Are the townhouses going right in that side yard next to you?

Cleveland: Downtown: Playhouse Square Development and News
I know this is outside of downtown/The Flats, but The Bop Stop is a pretty neat little venue, and it's not even a mile from downtown's edge. People tend to forget about (I do occasionally, as well!) ๐๐ But back on topic (sorry!), I would absolutely support a jazz club at Greyhound, both figuratively and literally! Hre's hoping they do something great with the space.

Cleveland: Ohio City: Irishtown Bend Park
Awful news! Phases of the park possible in 2028? Everything I heard previously was that the stabilization would finish this year and the park would be done in late 2027. I've already been frustrated that it was going to take two full years to build the park, and now this? Grrrrrr.
