  3. I dunno know why, but this thing on their website sticks out like a sore thumb to me: "When scheduling your visit note that Cleveland is in the Eastern Time Zone." Like you'd come to Cleveland and never note that or think about it until you went to the friggin' AQUARIUM. Whatever. Awkward.
  4. Read the article above on Maggie's and went for a look today at lunch, between 1 and 1:30. They were closed for no apparent reason (and their hours on their FB page said they were open) ... ?

The webcam seems to be down; has been for the last day and a half. Maybe they're doing the secret "make the silver black" process and don't want anyone watching, lol!
  6. Some update pics (apologize for the blurry quality and rainy night) from Wednesday ...

I drove past the project last night, sorry for the blurry/rainy pics. I'm totally confused. The panels appear to be stainless steel, and I guess I recall reading that it would be clad in that, but I was expecting to see something more glassy/black. The building isn't going to look black from any angle with this. Would they paint stainless steel? Sorry for my stupidity on this ...

I just saw that a couple of minutes ago and wondered if it was really glass ... wow, how exciting!!
  9. I stared at that awful exterior for years outside my office window. It is one of the worst looking buildings in town after the Justice Center! ;-)
  10. Given the state of it the last time I peeked in there about 3-4 weeks ago, I find that hard to believe. Or if they can get it totally ready in less than 3 months, maybe it is going to be even smaller/crappier than I'm imagining. Sigh.
  11. I love the randomness of the moonball. Does anyone have any more details on its funding or status? Did some searching but found nothing.
  12. Curious at to whether they'll leave the marquee. Was it some sort of addition in the Moda days, or is it leftover from when the building was a theater or something? (If it ever was.)

Quick shot from last week ...
  14. Some similar shots from the Shoreway this morning ...
  15. One more, close up.
  16. Stopped by at lunchtime today ... and gave me an excuse to play with Photoshop's amazing Photomerge feature! They're looking mighty busy.
  17. Any idea if/when Market Garden will be open for lunch? About 6 weeks ago, a coworker and I walked into the Bier Garden for lunch. A very nice woman there told us that they weren't open for lunch, just dinner. But then she explained that after Market Garden opened across the street in June, then both locations would be open for lunch daily. I'm worried that they've changed the plan ... as someone who works nearby, I was really excited about these two new lunch options!
  18. Was taking photos on my PHL-CLE flight yesterday and was focusing on the Convention Center and totally forgot about this project. But here's a blown-up blurry corner of one image that shows the construction site ...
  19. Okay, these are horrible quality, sorry! But flying from PHL to CLE last night, zoomed in with my phone camera. I was amazed at how much the J and L shapes stood out in University Circle, even from a good distance away!
  20. Shots with my iPhone (not loving the quality) on my PHL-CLE flight yesterday early evening ...

Some peeks at the construction site after yesterday's Parade the Circle ...
