I still have a chip tooth from when I was a kid and went to drink from the fountain at the park. My friend also pushed my face into the fountain to get it wet and I hit my mouth & tooth on the metal and well... I forgave her but my mom was not happy about it for years. This happened sometime in the 60's. Ages ago!

Thanks for some of the history behind this place. Yes- it would be ashamed if they tore it down. I wish they would restore it. Maybe turn it into a small museum of some kind? That would be nice. No- wait a minute! That would make too much sense! Can't have that now, can we?! *sigh*

Very beautiful pictures! Gee- Cincinnati doesn't even look the way I remember it. I haven't been there in ages! ( And I DO mean AGES!) I love to go back and visit the Terminal Museum and I keep trying to throw out hints to my daughter and son-in-law to treat me to a trip to the Newport Aquarium but so far..... I can't really afford to go myself and not sure my car would survive the trip there and back.

You are right on both counts. Or should I really say all three counts. Yes- the one for the Oregon District is in need of redoing. Hope it happens sometime soon.

WOW- Nice pictures! Nice architecture. Very nice! I wonder what my grandfather would think? I'll never know as he's been gone since 1961. He was a architect who help design Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, N.C.

The Oregon RR overpass looks to me like it's due for repainting. I don't know how often they repaint it. Usually when it's repainted, it's done in a different theme or color scheme, if I remember right. I wish the newspaper or someone would do an article about all of the murals. It would be nice to know more about them. I think there is a big one of the Wright Brothers at the Air Force Museum - I need to go take a picture of that as I live not far from there!

Thank you. I wish there was more of that too. I like the murals, especially if they are well done and also if they are kept up. Some unfortunately are fading away or have been vandalized with graffiti. :(

I wish I knew more about the history of the market and also the mural. I have no idea when it was painted or who painted it, etc. I took pictures yesterday of many different murals in Dayton but really don't know the stories behind them. I plan to post more as soon as I can.

Murals at the Dayton Liederkranz-Turner Society And some others at a building between Henry St. and La Belle St.I don't know anything about this building or if there is or was a business here but I like the mural. I was not able to capture the whole mural but here is some of what I did get. Building is between Henry St. and La Belle St.

Third and Linden Market - Corner of Linden, Third & Springfield- Dayton, OH I don't think they are even in business anymore.

I didn't even know this building existed until very recently! I'll have to go in there some day to see what it looks like from the inside! :)
