  1. They should renovate the Ameritrust tower. This should be their #1 choice -- it's relatively close to the freeway and there's an attached parking garage. Perfect for a county HQ.

Maybe the question shouldn't be "how's Columbus doing with the NHL on strike"? The real question should be "has the general public in the USA noticed that the NHL was on strike"? The sad thing is that most people havn't noticed. That does not bode well for the future of the NHL.

    Ambitious.
  4. In the summer it's horrendous. It boggles my mind that someone is going to build something on a pile of crap.
  5. I think it looks good.
  6. Crate & Barrel is really nice. Expensive, but nice. The one here in Cleveland is always crowded. Not a big fan of Ikea. We picked up some things last time we went to Pittsburgh, and most of it's already broken.
  7. Breathtaking.
  8. I agree it's worth keeping. About 10 years ago it was a restaurant, but due to its inaccessibilty it did not last. It is a beautiful structure -- maybe as Whiskey Island inevitably turns into a touristy area the Coast Guard station may come back to life.
  9. Well, if nothing else the place looks nice.
  10. It's kinda funny that most rowhouses in Cleveland are new, as opposed to most other cities. The upstairs/downstairs double was the main housing unit throughout the city in the early 20th century. What's really neat is that in Cleveland Hts (I think) they rehabbed one of these, converting it into a side-by-side "townhouse".
  11. It will be interesting.
  12. That's an awesome looking building. Like how it comes to a winding point -- like climbing up a mountain pass.

Wow! The shape is showing nicely.
  14. The Euclid Avenue entrance feels a bit cold. The E. 4th entrance has a friendlier feel to it.
  15. Cambridge is a nice town. Also around that area is Salt Fork state park, the I-70 & I-77 interchange (once the largest interchange in the world, might still be), and Big Muskie -- one of the largest excavators around.
  16. Elyria really looks nice in this tour.

Nice to see some residential going up in Midtown.
  18. I must had learned of this from SSP. Sad I don't remember...

How about suburbs: Lakewood - Flakewood Eastlake - Greaselake Euclid - Pukelid East Cleveland - Hell Garfield Hts - Garbage Hts
  20. UC as a whole has really boomed the last few years, as has spinoff in Little Italy, and other surrounding neighborhoods.

Looks nice. $8 seems a little steep though.

Unless the article said something about Forest City Enterprises, nothing's going to happen. FCE owns about 90% of Scranton peninsula, and has been holding it hostage in hopes it can force the city to build a convention center on it's land behind Tower City (riverview parking lots, right next to Sherwin Williams). Ideally, FCE would build a convention center on the riverview site, and across the Cuyahoga River (i.e. Scranton peninsula) they would put in about 3,000 housing units, some retail, and new infrastructure. PS -- FCE had no involvement in the Legacy Village project.
  23. It will be interesting to see how much business this service gets. It is cool there will be a ferry. Has anyone ever been to Port Stanley?
  24. Cool. This looks like it's from the same developers as Stonebridge.

Impressive game by the Browns. They stayed focused and dominated the Ravens.
