I can agree with that logic

Cleveland Guardians Discussion
Agreed. Need to wrap it up, get the team back to Cleveland and rest up for WS. Is it premature to predict who everyone would rather face from the NLCS?

The Ohio State University Buckeyes Football Discussion
I haven't seen Nebraska play yet this year but looking at their record, they haven't really beaten anyone yet. Barely beat Oregon who was #22 at the time (and has now lost 4 straight)

The Ohio State University Buckeyes Football Discussion
the OT catch was incredible. Giving credit to Wisconsin defense but the offense was really sputtering. We are missing a power back like Elliot to power through and get 5+ yards and occasionally break a long one. Samuel & Weber are good backs but they aren't moving the chains with consistency. Elliot would have taken the game over in the 2nd half and put it away. We need a bruising RB to draw the defense inside - over the top & outside plays will be much more open then.

Cincinnati Bengals Discussion
another dirty hit by Vontaze Burfict this week, on Patriots TE Martellus Bennett. Not sure if it will result in a fine or not but his reputation is now about the worst in the NFL

Cleveland: Innerbelt News
so when will 176 be able to continue in to 90 east? Currently you have to take 90 west or 490 east....

Cleveland: Public Square Redesign
so long as Superior is going to be closed to traffic through Public Square, they should do something more attractive than the beat up cross bucks with truck tire sidwalls holding them in place. Something a little more thoughtful like removable bollards, or some type of attractive fencing or a gate that can open/close easily enough.

Cleveland City Council
Going to need a curfew for sure. Going to have to monitor constantly for drug/gang activity if Cleveland bikers do the same "activities" as they do in DC/Balt. This facility will likely become a focal point between the police and bikeriders unless someone can govern the facility from the inside. Hoping it will work but I have a feeling this is another bad idea from a city government with a long history of making wrong choices. I think it would be great. I grew up riding dirt bikes and would love to get one but the closest place to legitimately ride (that I know of) is Lake County. If it was well done I think you'd see a lot of young people coming from the inner and outer suburbs to use it.

The Ohio State University Buckeyes Football Discussion
watching the game Sat night with friends, we were talking about how different the team would be even if they had 2 more starters back on either side of the ball. I'm not talking Zeke Elliot and Joey Bosa, just any of the players - 2 more per side instead of leaving...

Cleveland: Downtown Office Buildings Updates
FC will be downsizing/consolidating into an existing office building downtown - they are not going to wait or spend the premium to be in a new building. I suspect the decision will be made in the next 30-60 days

what's the verdict Conley's injury?

Cleveland City Council
Fight fire with fire. CLEVELAND police needs to invest in a couple dirt bikes or quads to run those fools down. Only takes a couple arrests and word spreads

US Economy: News & Discussion
You're honestly much better off putting your money in a higher interest savings account. Ally bank offers 1% interest on a standard savings account. This is a much better option than locking away your money for 5 years for an extra 0.75%. If you can put the money away for 5 years, I'd buy some nice quality stocks that return healthy dividends. Plenty of options out there that would still kick off 4% dividend even if the stock value stays flat. whatever sort of downturn the market sees in the next 12-18 months should rebound and still get you a nice net gain in 5 years. A conservative plan would yield much more than 2%.

Cleveland: Flats East Bank
Good point. Both of those should bring in people that won't normally venture down there. The FEB could benefit from some family friendly attractions. Something to help diversify, like the Aquarium on the West Bank. Right now FEB reminds me of an adult Disneyland. Doesn't get much more family friendly than Punch Bowl Social....

Urban Planning and Related Careers in Ohio
I went back and got a masters in urban planning about ten years after undergrad. Did it for the knowledge and as a hobby as much as anything. It's been beneficial though without a doubt. With your background in accounting, getting a Masters Degree in Urban Planning with a focus in Real Estate Finance could be a very good combo. I would skip the career path working for any sort of public entity - I think you'll just burn out. Conversely, with real estate & planning courses under your belt, you could be a great asset to a large commercial developer. Would be fun, exciting and allow you to apply your practical planning knowledge also. Finally, look into CCIM certification as a last step. It's a great differentiator in the real estate/development industry. PM me with any other questions

Cleveland: Flats East Bank
Crop was in a tough location of the FEB. Away from the traffic flow and not on the waterfront like Alleycat. People pull up to park and see 5 other restaurants first - Bold, Willeyville, Flipside, Beerhead & Punchbowl... make that 6 now with Coastal Taco. Flipside is good but from someone who works in FEB, how many $12 burgers can a person eat?

Cleveland: Downtown Office Buildings Updates
that's a done deal. Hopefully Hertz makes some nice improvements to the building - it really is a great property but the lobby, common areas, all need upgrades. Previous owner did very little in terms of upgrades and also did very little in terms of leasing.
