honestly, the Haslam lakefront approach was more in line of what i was hoping for. public access boardwalk with shops, restaurants, offices and apartments. I walk down to the e9 pier on nice days and i see people aimlessly walking around, wishing there were more things to do there. It can be designed in a way that accommodates people who want to spend money and people who are there just to enjoy the lakefront. Moreover, the Haslam team would be motivated by the fact that they need to be able to accommodate large crowds of people hanging out. This is by virtue of the fact that Jimmytown is in the business of hosting very large events with 100k people.

there's no doubt all this road work and bridge construction is affecting their business. I agree it's for the greater good, but a restaurant doesnt need to lose that much business to be on the wrong side of the profit margin. also, things like the redline/greenway-while nice amenities- are not profit drivers. they're not heavily utilized and are not creating much, if any business.

yea I've been wondering if they made the big ask in brookpark so the smaller lakefront ask seems like a bargain by comparison. with Las Vegas off the board, NFL teams have less leverage when they threaten to move.

there is a small replica of the proposed statue in the second floor of the main library branch. The plaza looks like it would be too small for a photo op type sculpture

^the NFL is so clearly profitable that it's getting harder for owners to cry poor when it comes to building their own facilities.

lol, everyone who reviewed the plan told them they didn't have enough parking. and shw claimed they not only had enough parking, but that garage would provide enough parking for phase 2.

Cleveland: Streetscape Improvements
hopefully Playhouse Square will bring some money to the table to make this a real plaza, it this ends up being tested/approved. Worry that the street will just end up being blocked off with concrete planters.

maybe that's the first order? a little uneasy about the amount of cars they ordered. I'm sure they know better than me, but I don't see how they can ever expand service in the future with 60 cars - Cleveland: Downtown: Skyline 776 (City Club Apartments)
