nice. I was thinking bedrock will need to come with some shovel-ready proposals before the city commits to infrastructure money. practice facility and condos downtown would be a big win

I thought cowell and hubbard spot could theoretically only accommodate another floor or two.- Cleveland: Filling in Euclid Avenue
as far as demos go, Sterling, itself, would be a good one. that lot could a vertical build there would really bolster the square.- Shaker Heights: Van Aken District Transit Oriented Development
it's possible VAD doubles in size over the next ten years. there is a lot of opportunity there for growth. and it's important that the terminus of the blue line is a place that people want to travel out to. I think there needs to be some non-residential reason to get off at every stop for the rapid system to be healthy. I use the train a 5 or 6 times a year just to go out to both shaker square and van aken.- All Aboard Ohio

love it. I'm afraid the city/county aren't seriously considering the CUT. Hope AAO and other advocacy groups can have some impact.- Cleveland: Restaurant News & Info

I agree that we should do what it takes to keep the market afloat. but 1.3 million in anual revenue to 1.9 million in expenses, plus 30 million to get the place up-to-date. I also seem to remember several multi-million dollar capital improvement projects over the last ten years (there was at leat the 100 year anniversary one). I understand the perspective that this is a money pit.- Cleveland: Campus District
STJ transit center is underutilized, right? RTA should lease a bay to greyhound/barons for cheap.- Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters

Pluto wrote about CSU and their recruiting efforts. I think they'll be pretty good next year. you should consider season tickets. https://www.cleveland.com/pluto/2023/05/cleveland-state-adds-5-players-as-basketball-program-keeps-looking-up-terry-pluto.html Cleveland State basketball adds 5 players as program keeps looking up – Terry Pluto ABOUT CSU’S ATHLETIC PROGRAM 1. When Garrett took over as Athletic Director on April 8, 2019, CSU’s basketball program was coming off a 10-21 season. It was their third consecutive 20-loss season. 2. In the last three seasons, CSU has had records of 19-8, 20-11 and 21-14. There have been two regular-season Horizon League titles, a trip to the NCAA, NIT and College Basketball Invitational. Before Garrett arrived, the Vikings averaged 996 fans per game. Garrett fired coach Dennis Felton and hired Gates. That began the turnaround. The Vikings averaged 1,890 fans, fifth best in the 11-team Horizon League in 2023. Garrett said nearly all of the season ticket holders have renewed. He’s set a goal of averaging 3,000 fans over the next few years. 3. The CSU athletes over all sports had a cumulative 3.47 GPA. The women’s team went to the NCAA tournament. The men’s soccer team won the Horizon League title. Men’s basketball and women’s tennis finished No. 2 in the Horizon League. Athletic department fund raising went from $436,000 the year before Garrett arrived to $1.2 million this year- Cleveland: Restaurant News & Info

it may be a good idea, but theblandbridge won't be hidden parking. it'll be a six-10 floor parking deck that goes over-top the boulevard/al Lerner way. there will be a lot of bulk- US Economy: News & Discussion

with the stage, ticketing and office in the addition. the ground floor and 2nd (if I remember) floor will be freed up for exhibition space. rhe last few years the rock hall has had outside foodtruck service and picnic tables in the plaza during the summer. I'm sure it will still be active with the entrance moved over.- Cleveland: Port Authority News & Info
I'm not sure there is any evidence this isn't just from the Port's applying for funds to update its infrastructure. 27 million out of 703 allocated to the busiest port in ohio doesn't seem like like it would be unexpected for a program like this. Not that Bibb advocating for the city is a bad thing. - Cleveland: Filling in Euclid Avenue
