  1. maybe they'll get one down the stretch. but it's espn+ and 1350 the gambler for them . A win on Wednesday at home would bring their streak to 9 games. they'll start making a media push if they can do that.
  2. Periodic reminder that the Vikes are good and entertaining. They're top of the cinference and just beat YSU in Youngstown. Freshman Je'Shawn Stevenson looks like he might be a pro. 12-6 (6-1 in conference) They play Northern Kentucky at home on Wednesday- hope to see you there!
  3. you live over there? I used to be on 14 and holmden. the sunoco stinks, the BP is okay - the dude is nice. one safe, bright, nice convince/corner store in that area would put several places out of business
  4. I have a feeling we're going to keep hearing that this bridge is "at the end of its useful life" for the next fifty years while people continue to use it.
  5. I thought have it start/end on w3 and get rid of the lakeside ramp. then you could build and have a long block of apartments from w3-w9. having development at the end of w6 would be pretty cool and give whd more of a neighborhood feel
  6. Bridge stays up over the river. it'll ramp down and end on w3
  7. van Aiken is very nice. I still think it's a couple pieces away tho, it needs a few more 10 storey buildings
  8. his argument against favoritism is already pretty compelling. county has spent hundreds of millions on event spaces/hotels downtown and putting money toward a direct competitor hurts the taxpayers investment. it's not saying the browns should be downtown because he loves downtown - it's saying the convention center, sports arenas, Hilton hotel are all in a worse spot if the browns move to brook park.
  9. there's a bank branch, a book store, a news stand, ymca, some sort of heritage museum
  10. Lekko Coffee Opening New Location in Warehouse District The second location of Lekko Coffee opens on Jan. 1 in Downtown Cleveland. By Annie Nickoloff Lekko Coffee plans to start the new year off with a caffeine boost: On Jan. 1, the brand is opening a new cafe in Downtown Cleveland's Warehouse District, in the former Phoenix Coffee space at 826 W. St. Clair Ave. It will be the second Lekko Coffee location, following the brand's flagship Ohio City shop which opened at the corner of Detroit Ave. and West 26th Street in 2021. https://clevelandmagazine.com/food-drink/articles/lekko-coffee-opening-new-location-in-warehouse-district
  11. I dislike leaning on covid for this one. He oversaturated the market with his chains and the quality of the food steadily got worse. He spoiled the brand.
  12. since 2020, my company, which had no remote, now has employees living in 30 states. this includes execs in Cal and NY. The hiring practice has changed so much that it'll take a decade for many companies be fully back in office.
  13. PD is in a tough sport, they kinda just have jr bloggers now. they don't have the best coverage in any subject anymore. we're now at the point they can die and the populace won't be worse off
  14. flashback to 90s school skate parties there
  15. we're doing a staycation there in February. very excited
  16. tha parade doesn't deserve to have this much juice. March down st Clair.
  17. you think a republican is going g to win a mayoral race in cleveland?
  18. Roynan has talked in the past about moving the county out of the social services building. there nay be an opportunity in the future fo the museum to have proper grounds
  19. there's been discussion on this in the cleveland state thread. think the charge moved because they have greater flexibility with scheduling at the auditorium. wolstein loses the school like a million dollars a year or something like that. I don't mind the woodling, but many sports programs use that space already, might get tight if both basketball teams need to use it for games and practices - on top of the other sports. I think CSU should try to partner with someone like bedrock, have them build a modest arena and let bedrock make the money on mid-sized events (bands, comedians, wrestling). Csu could then demo the wolstein and try to sell the land
  20. I think there were just making the needed adjustments to support basketball
  21. wish they'd have been able to stay at the wolstein, but I'm interested in seeing basketball at the public auditorium!
  22. keep it to the current events section
  23. if it were built out like they say, this could be like a bigger van Aiken. it would be a good stop from a red line node perspective
