  1. cant you do that stuff at the rec center? I go to kent and we have a rock wall, and an indoor track
  2. i agree. with the rock hall and science center, The lakefront would be a perfect spot that is easily marketable and visible. I fear that an aquarium could eventually be forgotten about in the flats. Not that Im complaining; I think any aquarium is pretty neat
  3. one is a few million dollars, the other is a few thousand
  4. they envision a Cleveland sports hall of fame in the http://www.forumarc.com/ one.

demo sounds fun until you are fifteen minutes into it and realize you have to do it forty hours a week.

You know, I used to be a moderator in a harry potter forum...i ran it into the ground. oops
  9. i remember reading an article a few months back saying that figuring out the parking situation for the casino and towercity was the biggest issue with the site. apparently that was true
  10. they are building over the towercity parking garage entrance, aren't they? they need to build to compensate Forrest city and an prepare for an influx of driving customers. why is parking unthinkable
  11. who takes on the cost of moving the river? is it the city, state, or casino? If its the casino, i don't see what the cost has to do with our position on it.
  12. Where is the road for the bus stop?
  13. they are acting like a spectacular mall was somehow promised and it isn't being fulfilled. 'mammoth sculptures or fountains' were never in the plan
  14. the student center looks nice now that its done.
  15. whats that 35 million dollar renovation?
  16. it how much does it cost to maintain? would it lose money if it were open every weekend and tickets were ten bucks?
  17. its from may 30, 2010. its not just cleveland. My hometown of chardon is from the same date too, so maybe its a majority of northeast ohio that has been updated
  18. get there two hours early to avoid a long wait? i feel like i am at cedar point
  19. i revise my stance. I poked around the net a little bit and it seems that, at least from a fund raising stand point, schools greatly benefit from dropping 'state' from their name; though i can't tell if it is directly caused from the name change or if it is because names are usually changed in times that the school is revamping its facilities/standards. Either way, it would probably behoove CSU to do it. the idea that a name would affect reputation still doesn't make sense to me, but it appears to make a difference.
  20. they should call it 'the really good university'. tRGU should get people to go there. Forgive me if this has already been answered, but is there much precedent for a major university changing its name within the last twenty years? I just feel like a name change could be seen as cheesy, but this is coming from someone who goes to Kent STATE University and went there without even having considered that the name of the school was indicative of the quality
  21. we also cant pretend that CSU has historically deserved great acclaim. maybe people associate it with a community college because the school associates itself with community colleges in the area.
  22. Ohio State is prestigious in academics. in fact, its the best public school in the state. lets not pretend that the name, in reality, dictates the caliber of student it attracts. people actually look at quality of education before deciding to invest tens of thousands of dollars and four years of their lives, not just a jazzy name.
