  1. I agree with ccars. I thought the vision for Euclid was to be some kind of pseudo Magnificent Mile. im not sure that areas not intended for public use would be best for the street. I could be off base, but thats the impression I get.
  2. He will decide that the Democratic Party will take their talents to Minneapolis (i just threw that city in for the purpose of the joke)
  3. I would, but i am currently spending 700K on receiving a college education :/
  4. its pretty freaky to see the plaza like that, but it is for the greater good
  5. well, The Cleveland one was always supposed to be the best one.
  6. "Nobody on either side of deal is talking but sources tell 19 Action News say that the deal is done." ha
  7. as a KSU student with a dorm right across the parkinglot of music and speech: it is ugly
  8. its nice to finally see a little something about this.
  9. Who cares about the beach? How big of a deal is it? and why have you guys been bickering about it for the last two pages? They are throwing some sand down instead of grass. It is temporary. It's not the focal point of the project, get over it.
  10. I think it is pretty cool that it is so close to the bridge
  11. Yeah, clustering all three of those would be smart
  12. why couldn't they do plan two and have a really nice pedestrian bridge across superior; not like a metal, crappy one, but one that looks cool.
  13. The beginning of the presentation said that they are using the traffic information available. I think that is why they didn't consider closing both superior/Ontario and make traffic go around the square.
  14. Yeah, I was kind on surprised that nobody posted it
  15. Cuyahoga County approves financing for Cleveland State University dorm project By Laura Johnston, The Plain Dealer December 10, 2009, 3:58PM http://blog.cleveland.com/metro/2009/12/cuyahoga_county_sets_up_financ.html Cuyahoga County will serve as the middleman for up to $60 million in loans to build dorms and a parking garage at Cleveland State University. County commissioners on Thursday voted to approve bonds for the Euclid Avenue Housing Corp., a nonprofit organization created by CSU for development projects. The corporation, in return, volunteered to exceed the county's small business requirements for the construction project. "It's certainly a win-win," said Jack Boyle, president of Euclid Avenue Housing. "We're going beyond what the county requires, but it's also something we think is the right thing to do." Euclid Avenue Housing and its general contractor, Marous Brothers Construction Co., agreed that small businesses will perform 12 percent of the work, said Lenora Lockett, director of the county's Office of Procurement and Diversity. The workforce will be at least 16 percent minority and 5 percent female.
  16. Im glad to hear some kind of news on this. with the casino, mm (assuming that it ever happens) and this, that has to be over $1.3 billion in major construction happening at the same time. not too bad.

not to mention, I would be exposed for the fraud that I am if we were rated by quality of posts.
  20. one of those wins being in the championship game and two of those losses being in a championship game. Pretty good track record. It is good that the big ten are not getting huge bowls this year, maybe they can actually win some games this bowl season
  21. you cant just say something off topic and fix it by saying 'back on topic'. It like sayin 'no offense, but your wife is a whore' But lets get back to topic
  22. Also, the casino restaurants would be competition if the casino itself didn't bring in people who wouldn't have been there anyways. More people in an area means the more stores and restaurants an area can support without people losing money.
  23. I feel like media hype peaked with those two championship games. But after two embarrassing losses, the media has given up and has started to treat the big ten like the down conference that it is. The change in tide happened almost overnight.
  24. will the Bucks get recognition? or will the press see this as proof that the big ten is weak.
  25. what was the over/under for the PSU game? 40 pts?
