Brook Park: New Cleveland Browns Stadium
I agree. I don't think the law is constitutional to begin with. but it's also pathetic.

I think don't think it will be at-grade until the intersection - you're only giving them about a hundred feet to drop about 15 feet in elevation. the lakeside portion may even be elevated. was talking to one of the Osborne guys at their presentation a couple months ago and thats what he indicated. whether we call it a ramp or not. there are two streets where there only needs to be one that create an island of undevelopable land downtown. and the lakeside/summit street extension looks way too complex.

happy they got a large chunk of the funding. really wish they'd reconsider this portion, tho. I live across the street and there is not enough congestion to need two ramps within a couple hundred feet of each other. especially if the browns leave town and they tear down the stadium. I'd prefer they remove the lakeside ramp, personally.

just byvwalking around down there, I get the feeling the mismanagement/lack of money for upkeep is real on shaker square.- Cleveland: Downtown: Huntington Bank Field
I know people don't think the teams performance matters in issues like this, but we are now at 30 years since we had a watchable product on the field. I think the county can tell them they won't provide for this project and the people will understand.- Cleveland: Retail News
This has become a little bit of a frustrating issue for me. I feel like the organizations that are meant to be boosters (DCA, etc.) paint too rosey a picture sometimes and set goals and projections and offer reporting that does not always reflect reality. I agree that 20k residents wasn't going be enough residents to support the downtown economy and it never was. Tho that was tha mantra for 15 years. It's to the point where their quarterly reports need to taken with a large grain of salt.- Cleveland: Downtown: Rockefeller Building Rehab-Additions

925 euclid still gets my vote. the increasingly dilapidated huntington building is really dragging down an almost vibrant corner- Cleveland: Ohio City: Bridgeworks Development
honest question. why is this a primo spot for retail? there is nobody for a mile to the east along the bridge, nobody for a half mile to the south, a highway on ramp to the north along with a church and project housing. there is only one active storefront on the intersection and it's a b2b office furniture showroom. the halfmile radius is pretty low in terms of potential customers.- Cedar Point

also owners have used civic pride as a sword too many times to bilk the public and it has become obvious that they can turn a profit on their own. there may be some amount of public subsidy that makes sense, 1.2 billion is a lot- Cleveland: Downtown: Huntington Bank Field
Possible that the brookvpark option is the think past the sale menuver. also, by asking for the Brookpark stadium, it looks like they got stuck with the lakefront- while still getting 600 million out of the deal. Who knows. It seems like there isn't much political will to get the public financing together for Brook Park. They must have known that before they made the plans public.- Cleveland: Cleveland State University: Development and News
