  1. I'm surprised they don't try to sell the land and find other accommodations for basketball. the men's and women's teams practice and play there, but i dont ~think other programs use the wolstein. As a season ticket holder who goes to the games, I get the impression most of their fans buy tickets to be a booster to the program. I don't think they'd lose anyone if they played in the woodling or even the civic auditorium like the charge.
  2. alright, this has crossed into ridiculous pontification
  3. must be the mid 50s. 55 public square is being built
  4. the 92.3 giys are hard to listen to. they were like, "what leverage does the county have? the haslams could find more private investors and do it without the county anyways" - thats the point, they should. also, the haslams will find some need for a 500 million dollar restoration of the new dome in 15 years and have their hands out. we can't pretend this is a one time cost
  5. for what it's worth, plain dealer editorial board backs the lakefront stadium
  6. I will say, they brought it up to "this mall is pretty dead" territory form "oh my god, how can a space like this be totally and completely abandoned "
  7. this building has noticeably deteriorated in the last 18 months.
  8. strange how none of the hosts on the fan are influenced by the relationship the browns have with the station, but all have the exact same affirmative opinion on the browns moving to Brook Park.
  9. not only should the city not pitch in, but they should stonewall the team if they need to use the lakefront stadium for any amount of time after the lease expires.
  10. they discontinued the current ones, yea?
  11. every aspect of the discussions the browns have had with the City, county, state need to be made public
  12. I was getting factory vibes
  13. hope the haslams commit to paying for the demo of the old stadium. since they care so much about the success of the north coast
  14. I'm no lawyer, but the Art Model law feels like it wouldn't hold up on appeal.
  15. hotel connected to the airport would probably be successful.
  16. be a good opportunity to put a unified fleet to use. blue line from van Aiken to the stadium on game days
  17. who owns the apartment building next to the rock hall?
  18. how is that possible when there are already private concerns on e9th by the lake. the current plans call for private development. and all previous lakefront plans called for private development. is all new housing supposed to be financed and run by the city?
  19. on a positive note, the city won't have do do business with that greasy crook anymore
  20. i don't think they'll be able to start the freeway conversion into a boulevard for several years, either. This plan will take a long time, no matter how you slice it. I would bet the park area by the lakefront can be developed while theyre tearing down the stadium. and assume the stadium plot will be private development
  21. there is a survey somewhere online. went to the presentation and got the impression that the feedback isn't going anywhere.
  22. streets were packed all day
  23. this lakeside/w6/summit thing is crazy. just end the highway at w3, have lakeside be a T intersection at w6
  24. looks like they're prepping the parking lot on superior and w6. they closed the w6 sidewalk an look to have the base/wiring of the lights in place
