Peak Oil
Interesting. I didn't watch it because I saw a commercial for it that said "brought to you by Chevy". I rolled my eyes because I thought it would be biased. I shouldn't have been so pessimistic

Cleveland: Crime & Safety Discussion
Cleveland's 100th murder was 8 streets from my parents house where I grew up. According to the PD I guess we should be paralyzed with fear. Trying to con drug dealers is probably one of the quickest way to get yourself killed. I'm sorry the guy died and maybe its harsh, but what did he expect to happen if the sellers noticed the money was fake. I wonder how many murders have nothing to do with drugs? What would the murder rate be of normal law abiding citizens who were killed by random violence not drug related in Cleveland. I'm guessing that number is pretty low

Cleveland taxi cab stuff
I hate on new years when you are a victim of distance discrimination. I was going from one area of downtown to home on E4. I was told no so that the drivers could get someone heading to the suburbs for more money.

Cleveland: TV / Film Industry News
^ When I took an urban studies class at CSU the prof said Warner Bros were from Youngstown and built several buildings in downtown Cleveland to use for movies. I think that Nortons Furniture is one of them.

What's your avatar?
I'll have to find a 8x10 of that for my dad. As long as I can remember, he always talks about that play. If you search for Cleveland Browns on youtube there is a tribute video that shows the play. I watched a bunch of them to get me riled up for the season.

Philadelphia Suggestions Solicited
I went to Philly a few years ago for 4 days as a vacation. Try this site http://www.gophila.com/ Philly seems to have a lot of museums. I recommend the Mutter museum. They have a lot of medical oddities and weird things if you are into that sort of thing. My fiancee was grossed out but I liked it. At night, South street has a lot of bars and cheese steak places and seems to be a big draw.

Cleveland: Crime & Safety Discussion
That is 2 streets from where I grew up. I waited at the bus stop across the street to take the 70 into lakewood to go to high school. Who among us does not slip out every once and a while to have a drink in a bus shelter in the afternoon?

Cleveland and Grafitti
I wonder who "HEK" is. This person does a lot on the west side and downtown. One of the buildings on Euclid by public square has a tag that says "Oh my god, its HEK".

Here come Cleveland's "trolleys"
From the video it seemed as if the guy just said out of no where, "I am going to cut you". I think its harsh to judge the other passengers at all. When some psycho just starts randomly stabbing someone, it is a little hard to process in that short amount of time. That video was very clear. I am sure some body knows that guy and hopefully will call the police. Oh yeah, it is good to hear the victim was released.

Is something EXCITING going on in your neighborhood?
I remember when the Rini Rego by my house left. After a few vacant months a Save-a-Lot moved in (Cleveland on Puritas road). It is a bad sign for your neighborhood when a serviceable grocery store leaves to be replaced by a place where you may or may not get maggots in your food and you have to pay for bags to carry groceries. The worst part about it is that a church across the street built some nursing home apartments so the residents could cross the street to grocery shop. The apartments opened at the exact same time rini rego left. Needless to say the Church was quite angry.

Cincinnati Bengals Discussion
Congrats on getting Sam Adams. I am glad the Browns picked up a pro-bowl offensive line man. We will need it for the Pit and Cincy d-line.

General Roads & Highway Discussion (History, etc)
My favorite death trap non-side walk road is Mayfield Rd at SOM center. People have to walk on the grass. There is also a bus stop under I-271 that requires people to cross a highway enterance and exit on both sides to get to it. No one should have to go anywhere and walk in the mud down a busy main street. That is a nice highway mess. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&q=Cleveland+OH&ll=41.521527,-81.442251&spn=0.013045,0.045018
