Cincinnati: Downtown: W&S Condominium Project (3rd & Broadway)
Any chance anyone here has a picture of it? I can't seem to find one, and it's well before my time.

film of a 1905 subway ride
I had that exact same thought. Looked like maybe one out of a hundred people there were even overweight.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Queen City Square
They aren't really done with the tiara enclosure yet, are they? This is what I keep telling myself and other people. The building and the birdcage don't look aesthetically connected.

Cincinnati: Pendleton: Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati
Cincinnati has for too long clinged to yesteryear and its past. Carew is coming on eighty years old! It's time to embrace progress!

Cincinnati: Over-the-Rhine: Development and News
You could have said the same thing about hot dogs and Senate.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Smale Riverfront Park
^I was actually going to come in here and post about it after I saw that today. I was worried that it implied the park was going to be set back a bit. I guess it's their money. Stimulates the economy, I suppose!

Cincinnati: Downtown: Smale Riverfront Park
Don't forget the casino. Who'd have thought it'd be hard to keep up with all of the different major projects going on in downtown Cincy?

Cincinnati: Downtown: Queen City Square
It doesn't seem like a building boom would be eminent. Great American and other members in the AFG company are currently scattered around various downtown offices. It made a ton of sense to move all of their business and executive offices into one building (though the IT department is staying in Dixie Terminal). Great American moving out of the 580 Building will add to the good amount of vacant office space that currently exists downtown. I really don't have a lot of knowledge about the rest of the companies with downtown offices, but outside of special cases like QCS I wouldn't think the demand would exist for another skyscraper.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Queen City Square
I realize you're very passionate about QCS being the outright tallest building in the Cincinnati skyline, but I don't see why this matters to anyone. Same goes with the people who can't handle the Carew Tower not being the tallest building in Cincy anymore. I think QCS very positively affects the skyline where and how it is. If anything, I think it's for the better that QCS doesn't stick out too much, given that it sits more on the outside of the skyline.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Fort Washington Way Cap
And also the massive parking garages right across the street, and the southern end of the Streetcar line (why it is currently planned to go one block south of 2nd Street I don't understand). Buses have a great approach to the area from both 71 and 75. Once you get the Streetcar up and running you might be able to eliminate most buses from running through downtown and OTR as well. Move TANK (and maybe even Megabus) there from 4th Street. Hell, you might even want to see if Greyhound will move to the RTC from their present site. You could even add direct non-stop and separately marked buses between FWW and UT when the rail comes there, as well as a direct, no stop bus to the Airport if it is warranted. That almost makes too much sense.

Cincinnati: Downtown: The Banks
Does anyone know what or when they'll be building on the strip of land south of the Freedom Center? All of the renderings show two smaller retail buildings as a part of Phase I, but they still have those trailers and whatnot on the apparent building sites. Anything about that part of the project I've missed?

Sycamore Township: Kenwood Collection
Just my two cents, but I don't think putting a Kroger in the first phase of the Banks would be the best choice. Since it's such a high-profile project, it should be geared towards those coming down for Reds games and everyone else in the Cincinnati area, many of whom are notoriously skeptical of the project. Fill the first phase with great entertainment and restaurant options, making it a rousing success, and cater to the residents of the Banks and downtown in the coming years. That said, I love the Fresh Fare concept. It's a shame to see this Kroger store go, but I don't think it'll have to much of an impact on the store's targeted customers. Sycamore Township, tear down this Centre! (or actually finish it).

Good place for young couple?
Cincinnati will have a streetcar in a couple of years. You'll feel right at home coming from Portland!

Cincinnati: Downtown: 21c Hotel (Metropole Building Redevlopment)
I go to the University of Louisville, and we had a class at the museum and lunch at Proof on Main. Good food, very interesting and fun museum, ESPECIALLY the bathrooms. Didn't look around the hotel much, though.

Cincinnati: Downtown: 21c Hotel (Metropole Building Redevlopment)
Hey guys. New here; I've been reading posts on the board for a couple weeks now, but first-time posting. It's a great place to get up-to-date info on Cincy. Is not the Banks project supposed to include an upscale hotel as well? Is there really that large a market in Cincinnati for two of them? Also, while I do think it's important to include mixed-income housing downtown and in all neighborhoods, the Metropole seemed like too good a location to pass up some big-time development. It really is one of the best downtown blocks these days.
