  1. That's going to depend heavily on how well they are maintained and how well the weatherproofing was executed. There are plenty of examples of 100+ year old wood framed dwellings in this city.
  2. Also with a vertical data center, something like a roof leak starting at the top or a fire starting at the bottom now affects all tenants vertically. Ask me how I know.
  3. I recall at least on the blue/green line that the drivers will press a button that has an audible beep to tally riders (at least I think that's what they were doing). If 6 people boarded you'd hear it beep 6 times.
  4. Right. If the demand was there wouldn't we have seen Pace's development expand beyond Nuevo and about 12 really expensive apartments on the pier?
  5. They are at least not outwardly advertised on the square. I have never actually gone in to check. I would feel the same sort of guilt not purchasing anything there though. My only other thought that day was using the library, but now I see they aren't open on Sundays.
  6. *Warning - griping below* I went a couple Sundays ago after taking the kids to the splash pad and one of them needing to use the restroom. It was a little after 5:30 and was told by an employee that both restrooms (food court and past the English Oak Room) were closed. Fortunately he was able to hold it until we got home, because apparently the closest option after that is using the one in Wahlburgers without buying anything.
  7. Revising what I said here after visiting just recently. They used two types of filler, one lighter one for the square paver archway design sections, and one darker one for the 4x8 dark grey pavers. I was remembering the dark filler for the 4x8's and perhaps they just used leftovers of that stuff for the new section. So my answer now is 'who knows'.
  8. That was the color of the stuff when it originally went in, so I think the answer is yes, it will fade or dirty to the color on the left.
  9. In their favor is that fact that the building is already in good shape. The shared elevators in the connector between Rose and Annex were replaced in 2021/2022, Rose's water pumps were rebuilt within the past couple of years, there was some major replacement of steam pipes in the basement, and as far as I know there aren't any hazardous materials to be abated like asbestos, lead paint, etc.
  10. There's going to be a facade.
  11. "One item not shown in the presentation was a direct pedestrian connector, such as a moving walkway, from Hopkins International Airport to the new stadium site. Sources say the Browns have not considered the uniqueness of being able to walk from your airplane seat to your stadium seat without ever going outside. It would be the only National Football League stadium where such a connection is possible. Who would do that though? That's a very rare and unique traveler who has no need to check into a hotel first and deposit bags and carry-ons before going to the game, and vice-versa after the game.
  12. I thought maybe those angled beams might have posed some restrictions on what they could put there, but after looking at Coors field and their two tiers of standing areas with the same type of supports in the way, it looks like this was just value engineered.
  13. Anyone know what this feature used to be in Horseshoe Lake Park in Shaker? Based on the painted concrete and drainage/plumbing, I'm assuming some type of water feature?
  14. First photo is Euclid at playhouse square. Second photo is the Rose building. Only the third is the same building.
  15. That's the back of 823 Prospect, aka Medical Mutual annex building, now the (former) mail room. I believe I remember reading the former restaurant use has ties to Chef Boyardee.
