  1. Walking by it today, anyone think that they maybe left that gap in the windows on the north facing side for future skybridge connections to a hotel on the county admin plot? You know, why pay for windows there if you're just going to be pulling them out later. Pure speculation on my part.
  2. ^Have to agree with that. What students save on tuition at CSU will go to nicer digs. These are similar rents to Riverpark Towers in Athens, which was more or less a 1960's era party hole dump.
  3. You get a month of free rent through greater circle living if you apply and qualify (work at an approved UC employer) before signing the lease and moving in. It's a one-time deal.
  4. Those places aren't cheap either. From the prices I've seen they are also approaching that mythical $1.5/sqft.
  5. I don't know if anyone's mentioned it yet, but the webcams on MMPI's website now show interior work.
  6. Alley between Rose and Schofield buildings.
  7. Not only that, they've got a river flowing from inside Tower City cascading down to the Cuyahoga.
  8. Whoa, that just blew my mind. I had no idea. A facade wrapped in a facade, wrapped in a facade.
  9. I think it's pretty obvious they were thinking "hey let's put some protective vinyl and glass facade over this stonework so that it'll be preserved (minus a few gaping holes) until 2012 when they decide to turn these buildings into a hotel!"
  10. Er.....not to be immature or anything, but I don't think I'd want that to be the image of our city.
  11. "Saint F***n Patrick's Day" I guess he wouldn't be allowed in the Casino with the new rules in place.
  12. The "Dunham GreenSpace Project" http://www.midtowncleveland.org/dunham-greenspace-district.aspx ....hooray..... :drunk:
  13. I have. I had a spicy chicken salad sandwich which was very good, and very filling, and fast service despite the line practically going out the door.
  14. I clearly see "insert credit card" on that station.
  15. What about the A Cafe in the US Bank buildling in PHS? I see people in there for breakfast at least on weekdays.
  16. Interesting new development at the FEB:
  17. RTA did something like this for Medical Mutual this past year. They came in for a day and educated employees on how to use transit, set up routes for them to take, and offered free 5-day passes so people could try it out. I don't know if they did this for any other downtown employers.
  18. ClevelandConstruction.com posted some new photos of the interior build, I've linked to the full-size versions. Looks very nice inside.
  19. I noticed that the core is now just barely peeking over the right side of the Pinnacle building if you are walking west on Euclid in front of the May Company on Public Square.
  20. I found it disappointing that they repainted right over the spalling concrete. Maybe they think it gives the spot more character.
  21. To have this degree of foresight and appreciation for the things around you as a high schooler, no matter how many of these shots were simply a product of a love for photography, is something I wish I had at that point in my life. I think where I am now would have been much different. It wouldn't have even crossed my mind several years ago to document what I see on a daily basis. For all I knew, it would always be there.
  22. Well here's the most positive activity I've seen here in a while: there were workers greasing and raising the mast climbers today. Hopefully in anticipation of some immenent use.
  23. Not sure if these have been posted before, but I was just plugging in sequential numbers to some of the image urls on the flasteast.com website and came across a couple renderings I hadn't seen anywhere before:
