Cleveland - Computer Programming Summer Camp
Thanks, yes, I realized upon getting into the Slack app that it's invite only, and doesn't quite give you the contact information of the person that you would need to ask for the invite. I'll try Mel on LinkedIn. Thanks.

Cleveland - Computer Programming Summer Camp
Does anyone know of or have experience with a summer program, course, or camp in the Cleveland area, preferably east side, for teenage kids with a focus on computer programming? Thanks for any input.

Cleveland: Downtown Office Buildings Updates
If a decision hasn't been made yet, time is so short planning-wise that you can't expect anything earth-shattering. Staying downtown makes the most sense, but if the numbers don't add up financially, and with healthcare reform in flux, I can see some sort of ultra-conservative decision being made.

No hard information to report re Medical Mutual, except that the foot dragging continues, and prepare to be underwhelmed.

Cleveland: Downtown: Playhouse Square Development and News
Perhaps this is in response to the legislation put into place requiring façade inspections on some sort of regular basis?

Cleveland: Downtown: Gateway District: Development and News
I thought Weston bought them from that company that was going to put in that garish billboard structure on top of the current parking lot, and announced they would be rehabbed as part of a larger development.

I think the lack of a going out of business sign in Mr. Alberts would be more indicative of a change.

Cleveland Cavs Discussion
The area around the blue line at Warrensville/Farnsleigh was just a sea of cars, spilling into the neighborhoods, when I left for work at arountd 8:30 this morning.

Cleveland: Downtown Office Buildings Updates
If Erieview 45 has open floors, then it probably could accommodate MMs downtown office workers only. The Rose Building has an inefficient floor design for modern offices. The 1,000 employees could fit into a 225k sf space. But only the existing downtown workers could fit in there. No suburban workers. No former HealthSpan workers. No room for future expansion. I'm sure w28th is right. The proposal would be great for the landlord; not so great for the tenant. I've heard the needs are between 450,000 and 550,000 SF. I wouldn't expect many if any Healthspan employees to transition over.

Cleveland: Downtown: Tower City / Riverview Development
I'm probably in the minority, but I liked to head up to either the hard rock bar or LTH and get a drink or three when I would miss a late night rapid while I waited for the next one (assuming I didn't pass the turnstiles). Also thought the food was good. But as a destination....maybe not so much of a draw. No one comes to Cleveland because they want to visit the Cleveland Hard Rock Cafe. It's because of something else, and that's a good thing.

Ah, maybe that explains the faux storefront going into the Lincoln building as well. F&F 8.

Cleveland: Which Project Will Be Next and Why
PHS tower - yes. I was eyeballing everything based on renderings and comparative heights to surrounding buildings, so don't take my massings as having any legitimacy. The only building I spent more than a few minutes on was Nucleus.

It's kind of like the 'glass block is terrible' thread, except the glass block in this case keeps getting uglier and installed in more inappropriate spots.

Wasn't Kowloon Walled City one of the most dense areas/structures before it was demolished? Google pictures of that place when you get a chance.
