  1. They should have a cop stay at the station and check the people getting off too lol.
  2. ^???????????????? are you serious KJP???? I have honestly only been checked once on the healthline and ive rode it atleast 100 times and at all times of the day.
  3. The thread it idea when you really think about how high it would have to be would be horrible. It would kill the square IMO. Also it takes away the amount of usable land.
  4. And whats the chances those people will want to return anytime soon
  5. I think it would only be an illegal "charter" if they only served the MM/CC visitors/employees. I think they would be allowed to have a stop over there, allow anybody to ride, and then go to the hospitals. They just cant only allow certain people to ride, it has to be open to everybody.
  6. ^ hahhahahaahahahahahahhah
  7. LOL I honestly think individuals can make a bigger impact. Especially cause we usually hardly focus on the RRHOF
  8. Downtown buildings will almost always be more critical to save in my eyes. Even though I do oppose most demolition throughout the city. This building can go though.
  9. The big problem is when the busses appear to get backed up, You see three in a row, the first bus picks everybody up, and the next two remain mostly empty. Its annoying when you are waiting for a bus traveling west and you see 4 buses go east within a 5 minute period and you have wait 30 minutes for a bus heading west and when it finally does come its so packed you almost cant even get on.
  10. There might even be a race to see who can finish first.
  11. Plus the talk about the Board of Education building. And the John Hartness Brown buildings
  12. ^ #23 did surprise me. It is surrounded by new houses as well. Its in Cudell http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=Cleveland&aq=&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=33.352165,79.013672&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=Cleveland,+Cuyahoga,+Ohio&ll=41.473216,-81.745802&spn=0.001925,0.004823&t=h&z=18
  13. Probably just to them on a ridership figure. Not on customer satifaction
  14. There is a huge amount of ignorance. People say things, but cant back it up. They know nothing about the city but pretend they do and hate it. Also, Ive taken friends downtown who were actually somewhat afraid. We just walked around and they were blown away. People always seem to think its really pretty and are always like, "I never knew any of this existed" My girlfriend used to work at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and she always had stories for me of what people had to say. People from New York, Chicago, California, China, and all over the world, would tell her that they were surprised about "how nice Cleveland was", or "Its really clean here", and "People here are so nice". I think people from outside the region who visit actually have better things to say about the city then people who actually live in the region. This is because many of the people in the region know less about Cleveland, and what it has to offer, then people who visit.

I hate when people say we are defensive. Sorry we dont let people talk shit about us, with no basis, and not say anything in return. And when we do defend ourselves, we use facts and reason. And the thing is, a large portion of people who talk shit on Cleveland are people from the suburbs, I would know, thats were I grew up. Those people are clearly not "defensive."

  17. Okay, not to bring this up again but.... Do you think the people in front of breuer tower could have been just the movie people checking out the location?
  18. yes, and they are in Tremont on University
  19. ^ Lol thats what Ive been doing, one person at a time. First my girlfriend, then my parents, and then siblings, several friends, and grandparents as well. Its really not that hard of a task if you can get them to listen.
  20. ^ I was just going to say how the new hotel could add some life to this part of downtown.
  21. Just realized you can also see things such as density, racial/ethnic groups, and vacant houses on this map. http://projects.nytimes.com/census/2010/map?hp On the left where it says "view more maps" is how you change it.

Also, for the percentages for Census Tracts, if a certain tract lost a large white percentage, and shows an increase in Hispanics, can that mean that no new hispanics actually moved in, they just now make up a larger percentage of the population due to a large loss in white population? Or how does that work? The numbers seem like they could be misleading.

Do they have citywide demographics available yet?
  24. I wonder if it was them checking it out the other day?
