  1. Weeden can't throw while under center. Watch the first two games. 95% of the time we ran it while not in shotgun. Defenses were going to figure that out soon enough(or possibly already did). Additionally Weeden hasn't shown improvement. Peyton Manning First Season. 3 -13 record. Week 1: 1TD, 3INT Week 2: 1TD, 3INT Week 3: 0TD, 2INT Week 4: 1TD, 3INT Season Total: 26TD, 28 INT You can see that he improved by the end of the season. And the next season they went 13-3. Weeden wasn't showing that improvement. Another interesting stat, Hoyer threw 3 touchdowns in today's game, more than Weeden has ever done in a game. Also in his first game, Weeden threw 4 Interceptions. IMO, Hoyer has a better chance to be the future than Weeden, and shows the necessary skills to do so that aren't present in Weeden.
  2. Red Line ridership down by about 8.5% is June 2013 compared to June 2012. Was this due to line closures?
  3. Euclid Avenue mansion, laden with public debt, might have future as children's museum (gallery) CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The last 19th-century mansion standing on Cleveland's former Millionaire's Row might get another shot at life, after a tangled decade that started with high hopes for renovation and ended with the prospect of foreclosure. In an unusual transaction, the city of Cleveland plans to take possession of the empty Stager-Beckwith mansion and sell it to Michael Chesler, a local developer who aims to remake the historic house for the Children's Museum of Cleveland. The deal, approved by Cleveland City Council on Monday, would avert a foreclosure sale of the Euclid Avenue property to pay off nearly $550,000 in overdue taxes. If Chesler's plan works, it could provide a bit of salve for the city -- which is set to lose more than $4.5 million on a bad loan to the house's current owner. "We really want to see the building preserved and utilized for something that will benefit the whole neighborhood," said Tracey Nichols, the city's economic development director. "We don't want to take the risk of a sheriff's sale." For five years, the mansion has been sitting empty. The owner, a Ferchill Group affiliate called Stager-Beckwith Associates Ltd., owes more than $4.7 million on the city loan. Public records show Stager-Beckwith also hasn't been paying property taxes to Cuyahoga County. http://www.cleveland.com/business/index.ssf/2013/09/euclid_avenue_mansion_laden_wi.html
  4. Wow thanks for that! Building looks awesome! I haven't seen anything else like it in Cleveland
  5. Awesome pictures! Thanks for sharing!
  6. Is anyone else tired of national acts skipping over Cleveland? If they do come to Northeast Ohio, they go to Akron, which I understand because of the colleges but still! I shouldnt have to go to akron to see a show!
  7. Same here. If I am watching TV I will usually check on the Indians, and if they are winning, watch it for an inning or so. If I happen to flip over and the game is in the 9th Ill usually watch unless we are down bad. In general, baseball games take too long and don't have a lot of action. A pitching duel is not that exciting. Add that to the fact that there is a million games and its easy to get bored.
  8. Me neither! Now that original picture doesn't look as good as I originally thought!
  9. ^ohio law, although I do feel minors should have a higher penalty.
  10. And what does that say for the hotels that are investing into our city like the Westin? They are spending money to acquire and renovate a building near the convention center. Others are looking to join in as anchors to smaller developments throughout the city. We say thank you buy spending public money to build a massive, attached hotel.
  11. What a bunch of bullsh!t.
  12. ^ although not entirely responsible, isn't that "technique" partly responsible for the Red Lines increase in ridership?
  13. Wow, awesome to see. The Hanna building was one of the worst IMO, as the pollution wasn't "even" like other buildings. It looked streaky.
  14. ^ could the embassy suites closing play a major factor in those numbers?
  15. ^ that dirt is behind it I believe, so it not AS bad as if it was next to it on Euclid.
  16. ^ True, but if we could at least compete with Detroit, we'd be first in the wildcard race by far, possibly even first in the division.
  17. Great building only one block north of Campus. I agree StrapHanger, if that area takes off, they have gold. Its awesome to see a building like that restored and in great condition, especially in a town where buildings like it are left to rot. Edit: Wow, the 3 storey building 3 parcels West of it is amazing!!! I hope that building gets renovated soon! Not demolished!
  18. Every time the Indians get close, they collapse. They won only 2 out of the last 6 games against KC. Both series they had a chance to take the lead in the wildcard race. What is the Indians record against Detroit this year?
  19. Agreed, I have a similar story, although I never was that excited about Richardson, but I did hope he would be good. Prior to last weeks game I was hoping Weeden would get a mild injury and that somehow Hoyer would get a shot over Campbell. I didnt think it would actually happen. I was on my way to work when I found out Weeden would be missing the game and Hoyer was getting the start. I thought it was hilarious based on that is exactly what I hoped would happen a week before. I called my dad to tell him the news and then I mentioned to him that Richardson has also been a disappointment and Jim Brown was right with his original comments. Later I get home from work and find out he got traded! Hopefully my luck continues and Little is next to be traded!
  20. Here is the original story I saw. http://www.forbes.com/sites/jeffmcmahon/2013/09/15/bus-rapid-transit-spurs-development-better-than-light-rail-and-streetcars/ Giving the Healthline credit for those projects is a joke IMO. Cleveland State was going to build a student center, education buildings, and dorms either way. The Cleveland Clinic and University Hospitals were going to expand either way. Uptown would have happened without the Healthline(but not without UC attractions/Case). The Casino, 668 Euclid Avenue, etc. all would have happened. That is like saying the 49 bus is responsible for Crocker Park.
  21. ^^ I've read he averaged only 1.6 yards after contact. That can't possibly be near the top if true.
  22. I bet that Ogbonnaya with have a higher yards per carry than Richardson has had in either of the first two games. I also think Hoyer will throw for more touchdowns than Weeden has all season(2 games, 1 TD). Im actually more excited to watch the game this Sunday. Our games have been terribly boring, the team looked pathetic, and it wasnt fun to watch. It is almost impossible for things to be any worse than what Weeden and Richardson were doing.
