Cleveland: Cleveland State University: Development and News
Building a Dynamic Campus Neighborhood The transformation of CSU </b> While most of the publicity surrounding the new development projects underway in downtown Cleveland has focused on big-ticket items like the proposed casino, convention center and medical mart, Cleveland State University has slowly but surely been undergoing a dramatic expansion that is turning its once-staid environs into a traditional, urban-style campus with a lively, neighborhood feel. And because its expansion involves bringing in significant numbers of students, staff and others to actually live downtown, it can be argued that what CSU is doing with its transformation is as important in revitalizing Cleveland’s core as are the higher-profile projects..... Perhaps the most innovative and exciting project undertaken by CSU will break ground this summer: a $50 million mixed-use residential and retail development on the north side of campus with an estimated 230 market-rate, two and three bedroom apartments geared to grad students, young professors and, according to Mosbrook, “anyone who wants to live in a campus environment and take advantage of the numerous events and activities at the university.” http://www.coolcleveland.com/blog/2011/02/building-a-dynamic-campus-neighborhood-the-transformation-of-csu/

Ohio Intercity Rail (3C+D Line, etc)
^ I think Kasich would support a high speed train, I think he just didn't support the 3C because the initial speed wasn't fast enough for him and he didn't see the potential of the speed increasing overtime.

Cleveland: Public Square Redesign
I would assume creating the islands would be cheaper then replacing the buses. Plus as you said, it wouldn't require losing seats. I think this is probably the best choice with cost as a factor because it frees up the squares which will make them easier to walk and relax, and create an overall friendlier environment.

Forum Downtime for Update
Everything looks good except I have one concern. Is their anyway to separate the name of the topic and the person who started it. It can be hard to read when looking at a large list of them, especially when you look at the new replies to your posts because then it also shows what category it is in. Its becomes a little bit to crowded. Also just noticed that it shows if the user is online next to their name. I like that.

I used a portable video camera to record a video for someone I know. The problem is that I can't figure out how to transfer the video from the tape in the camera onto my computer. Any one good with these kinds of things that can help? Thanks!

Cleveland: Jack Cleveland Casino
That guy, and others like him, should not come downtown so they can leave the great cities of America for the rest of us to enjoy. They should stay in the suburbs with their baby-boom plastic cartoon architecture, seas of lifeless parking lots and high-mileage lifestyle that's marked-for-death by peak oil. They don't need a casino in the suburbs with the huge gamble they're taking with their lifestyle choice. The casino is fine where it is. Happy motoring! Just thought you would like to see how the conversation ended. The guy is so retarded that I thought it was worth sharing. After that no more cleveland.com comments lol. Here is what a guy said in response to his statement "Yeah I am sure that people just can't wait to visit the great citiy of North Randall. It is known as the garden spot in this area. Why you can wear cowboy clothes and boots out there and look like real Americans. Maybe they can get some really star celebrities to show up there like Palin or some other empty headed right winger and make it like a real good old country and western type of place. You know you should get out of your burb a little more. Having the casino downtown would link it to other entertainment and dining areas. Out in the sticks it would be just another place for people who live in real cities something to laugh about as the slow witted here will still be trying to dance to Tammy and George Jones records." And this is what the originals poster said back "I forgot that there are no restaurants anywhere except downtown. Plus the suburbs don't provide the pleasure of overpaying for parking. I'm sure out-of-towners will much more prefer to sit in traffic rather than having a shorter / quicker commute to an area which provides easy access to a wider variety of cuisines and a choice of music instead of all the thump-thump of downtown."

Cleveland: Public Square Redesign
The Healthline buses have doors on the left side which allows them to board from center-island platforms. All other RTA buses have doors only on the right side for curbside boarding. Have two platforms in the middle, with two bus lanes in-between the platforms. On the outside of the platforms you could have one lane for traffic. I updated my map, you could also do it along ontario

Cleveland business comment of the day from 3 days ago Combining Thistledown, casino makes sense: Business Comment of the Day "Thistledown is a great location for the new casino rather than downtown Cleveland. It is easier to reach by highway, and there is plenty of parking available, especially if they use the empty mall across the street. It would also revitalize the surrounding communities and spread the wealth better than putting it downtown." http://blog.cleveland.com/metro/2011/02/combining_thistledown_casino_m.html
