I thought Wednesday is supposed to be the bad day
8. Once the casino is built you could always add another free downtown trolley that connects people to/from the casino, east 4th, and the warehouse district.
9. ^ I was thinking hotel a while back. ESPN Zone is probably out of the picture now that they pretty much closed all their locations.
10. does anyone have a picture of what originally was supposed to be there?
11. I think people think of Lakewood as gay, because when you visit the city, and their establishments such as Melt, you are likely to see a gay couple. Most suburbs that is something that you do not see often. So when your sitting by 10 couples and one happens to be gay, it then makes the individual believe that the entire city is gay, ignoring all the surrounding straight couples. Does it make sense? Not really, but I believe that is a reason people think it.
12. HOLY CRAP!!!! I never saw that before! Is that thing 32 stories?
13. ^Thanks for the picture KJP. What exactly is the land between the Shaker Boulevards east of Warrensville Center Road? Would it be possible to build a transit oriented neighborhood with condos, apartments, or townhouses along the tracks and possibly add another stop there so they can easily walk to the train? It appears to be a good amount of valuable wasted land, unless its a park, but it doesn't look that way and still.
14. ^ Thats a good point, thats a long, lonely stretch
15. Whats your favorite/what do you like about them? What do you think could be done to improve them? Here are a view names of some parks and plazas to get you thinking... Parks Settlers Landing Fort Huntington Williard Park Perk Park (How is that renovation going anyways?) Voinovich Park Plazas Star Plaza Plaza at Huron Pointe Erieview Plaza (Outside the Galleria Foodcourt) Library Reading Plaza PNC Plaza Federal Building Smaller "Parks/Plazas" Penton Media Superior Building (Where the painting on the side of the building is) Ill leave the mall out of this as well as pubic square since they really have their own threads, and its has already been discussed heavily.
16. If I remember correctly doesn't the country courthouse have a back entrance? If so, why didn't they also place back entrances on the Library and federal courthouse, actually helping bringing some life to the mall? I dont see the thinking of putting a back entrance on the county courthouse but not the buildings actually facing the mall.
17. I havent really followed this at all but what is the status on this project?
18. ^ Thanks a lot. Im still kicking myself over not taking a picture of the exit sign on the 36th floor. It was an original one and was beautiful, not like the ones you see today.
19. So we did the ring of honor, now when are we going to hang up championship banners? Wasn't that the plan?
20. What do you think the chances of the Bengals actually leaving happening? Things dont look good. Asking for $43 million is ridiculous, it almost seems like he want an excuse to leave and say "hey well LA would give me the money and you wouldn't". Also after a horrible season, the organization seems to not care to make any changes. Maybe he plans on just starting new somewhere else, who knows. If this did happen what would happen to our division?
21. Cleveland: Man dies after shooting near nightclub, another injured CLEVELAND -- Cleveland Police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on Elm Street Sunday morning. Officers arrived to the 2300 block of Elm Street, where they found two men with gunshot wounds. 22. When is part 2 coming?
23. What cities did Cleveland use to be connected to that they are not connected to today?
24. Since the plans had it being disconnected from the convention center their is really nowhere specific to discuss it. I thought I heard once that the construction of the casino will end up closing the time warner cable amphitheater. If this is true, which I could be wrong, that would leave a gap in our venues. I would like to see Public Auditorium used again for concerts that are to big for the house of blues or the nautica pavilion, but too small for the Q or the wolstein center. And with the Public Auditorium, weather would never be a factor.
25. Those you listed would be pretty much impossible due to the lack of windows and the way the building is designed.
