I was wondering what some good ideas of cities for a possible summer vacation. Looking for a nice downtown. We have been to Chicago (loved it) New York ( Nice, but enjoyed chicago more) Pittsburgh (Nice City) Washington DC (A nice trip) Baltimore (Enjoyed the waterfront) and Annapolis(Nice town) Toronto (Enjoyed that) And we have also been to Niagara Falls Something not to far due to travel by car. Travel by train is also a possibility. Thanks!
  3. I know it is a lot better by far. But it still has a lot of potential. There is a fair amount of empty storefronts and the parking lot is a killer.
  4. Nice, correct.
  5. And now they have the spot in the middle of the street open(if something isn't already planned), the bodies exhibit is now gone I believe so that gives you a spot in the windsor building and in the old city blue location, actually i think you can get 4 store fronts out of the body exhibit space. And now we will see what they do with the volks building. The Teresa Pizza location is also open too. Hopefully those storefronts can get some life into them, it could be a really interesting opportunity.

  8. Prospect is sad. I hope they fix that building up and make it something nice! Whatever happened to the row of buildings on prospect where the family sportswear and goldfish store(i know they didnt sell goldfish) where/are? The prospect side of the May Company could use some work too.

  10. I really like this building from the side view, the one where it appears skinnier. Im not sure what I think about the wide view of it... Something just seems off. Overall a nice addition to the Cincinnati Skyline!
  11. It was an eastlake man who held the two teens to gun point and forced them to drive him to the east cleveland area I believe it was.
  12. <b>Cleveland's medical mart construction starts downtown</b> CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The ceremonial groundbreaking for Cuyahoga County's $465 million medical mart and convention center is nearly two weeks away, but construction crews descended on the downtown malls this morning. The county took ownership of the site today. Barriers are up along Lakeside Avenue. Precision Environmental is preparing to start asbestos removal, and Independence Excavating Inc. is ready to start demolition, said Barb Shergalis, the county's in-house project manager. Trees will also be shredded, since they are too large to move... http://www.cleveland.com/cuyahoga-county/index.ssf/2011/01/medical_mart_construction_starts_downtown.html
  13. I actually feel bad for Mangini on a human level, but on a football level, he needed to go, as well as daboll.

  16. this is pretty funny at parts Cleveland is No. 1 One year after Forbes called us miserable, science proves otherwise "Fun fact: The Great Lakes hold 20 percent of the world's fresh water. Fun fact 2: Arizona and other Third World nations are just now learning what we in Ohio already know — that water is a preferable component of staying alive. While the rest of America rations its supply, we'll be merrily dashing through the sprinkler of sustainability. So says the same analysis from SustainLane, which quite possibly is receiving monthly checks from Positively Cleveland." http://www.clevescene.com/cleveland/cleveland-is-no-1/Content?oid=2237289
  17. Well the final number is 77. Lake County is the only county to increase <b>Homicides in seven-county region drop 28% from 2009</b> CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Homicides dropped 28 percent in the region this year, with Cleveland leading the downward trend. Cuyahoga and surrounding counties had 200 slayings last year. That's compared to 145 this year through Thursday, according to police and coroners' offices. The number of slayings dropped 37 percent in Cleveland over the past year, going from 122 to 77, according to records from Cleveland police and the Cuyahoga County coroner's office. Surrounding counties -- Summit, Geauga, Lorain, Medina and Portage -- also stayed the same or reported drops. Only Lake saw an increase. http://blog.cleveland.com/metro/2010/12/homicides_in_seven-county_regi.html
  18. We cant forget that this one will not be even close to the same scale as the national aquariums. I hope this doesnt stop the effort of the other groups trying to bring Cleveland a large, non profit, destination aquarium on the lake.
  19. Just wait till the richmond mall closes and all those kids will hangout at the beachwood mall. Some of those people will have a heart attack.
  20. Bringing this one back. I love the sarcasm!
