  1. Buckeye Institute has his 2010 salary at $74,038. Probably a little bit higher now, but it is in that ballpark
  2. I hope they just decide to end the West Shoreway at West 25th with it branching in two directions. One you can continue on down a wider new main avenue which takes you to a lift bridge over the river and into the Flats East Bank. The second option would be to veer right onto Detroit Avenue and take the Detroit/Superior Bridge over the river and into Public Square. This will never happen though.
  3. Just replying to thread title without reading any of the posts, but could the increase in people going to college be responsible for the decline in driving? Also people are staying in college longer, meaning they are older when they finally "need" a car because they are no longer living on/near a campus.
  4. ^ they are already starting to look bad
  5. I feel like using Wendy Park would be the cheapest option. I would gladly trade that land for downtown port land
  6. Nice, thanks for posting that.
  7. If you look at the origins of Eminent Domain in this country it shows public benefit was never supposed to happen. Public Use is what it was strictly for, and only as a compromise.
  8. Bogotay has good strength on kickoffs but I worry about his field goal abilities. I'll have to watch more and see how he progresses.
  9. They could fit two buildings on that lot, one fronting Euclid and one fronting Prospect. In the middle you can have a small courtyard. Instead we get an oldly placed building with terrible frontages on north streets. Terrible.
  10. Definitely blah, but does fit that street
  11. Wait, they own that large lot as well? Now I know it will never get developed! :(
  12. We should all send emails to someone at CSU (university architect?) like we do to city hall on several occasions. It would probably shock them and maybe they would reconsider.
  13. Yeah I wouldn't want to gamble on Hardesty as back up with his own injury history
  14. Shit building owners are a major problem in this city. Nearly everything MRN rents is full (East 4th, WT Grant) While the May Company Building and these buildings sit empty/nearly empty and looking terrible. I honestly don't believe any of these are due to lack of demand, because if another owner took over and puts in the necessary repairs those spaces would be full.
  15. Fine the shit out of them and deny demolition requests until the end of time. Force them to sell. This buildings are dying to compliment east 4th
  16. Well that makes sense. It is on the side of his building!
  17. That's suprising. Also I noticed a massive Menchies advertisement in the Warehouse District. Weird since they don't have any nearby locations that I know of, although I did hear a rumor they are opening in the Langston.
  18. ^^ I did not know this was happening. Every time I passed this building I thought how awesome it would be to restore the ground floor!
  19. I heard the Browns will be using the space for a new stadium.
  20. Zoom in on the Tower City Complex on map view. Something new.
  21. Again, it's usually event based. Also, more often than not a crowded situation is "a nice place to visit but I wouldn't want to live there". Look at any place that is sometimes crowded, when it isn't. Buses, theaters, restaurants and bars..... People spread out, or congregate in small groups that know each other. Crowds don't mean you have to talk to people. But with your restaurant example, who wants to go to a dead empty restaurant. That's boring. People like restaurants full of people and activity, even though they might not talk to anyone but those they came with. It's the atmosphere.
  22. If there is one thing I hate, its sound walls! As for people not liking crowds, I don't find that to be true. Why do people spend there hard earned money to visit cities like New York, Paris, London, Chicago, Toronto, etc? People sit in timesquare just to take in the crowds. Festivals? Hell, even shopping malls. If its empty people call them dead.
  23. Best in the city! This really aggravates me. One of the best things about Little Italy is how it mayfield road has mostly stayed intact. I'm sick of shitty landlords letting buildings go to waste to the point where demolition turns it into to a parking lot. We need to start increasing fines for code violations.
  24. This thread is going all speculation, but I'd have to ask, if he's saying it's Air Conditioning or a wheelchair lift issues, how can those things be directly related to passenger behavior? I don't understand how that could be the case, based on what you just wrote. Passengers do not control the A/C (or vents) nor do they control the wheelchair lifts. If you said the "seats were damaged", or "windows broken", then I would understand. Be careful he may post a map or a picture to prove his point. Grow up. Why bring up former disputes in completely unrelated threads, weeks/months later? And what is so bad about offering evidence to back up a statement. If mods think my maps/pictures/statistics are out of line I hope they'll tell me. I'll stop sharing them here. At least I put an effort in unlike you, who mocks me for it and never posts any evidence of your own.
