Another Dumb-a$$ List / Ranking of Cities
I like how we are chosen for "weather"(which is just plain stupid), "high unemployment"(even though we are below national average), "lousy sports teams"(even though we had the best record in the NBA for 2 years in a row and were expected to win the Championship at the time of the list), and "high taxes"(which are lower than several other big cities). Makes a lot of sense to me :?

Cleveland: Random Quick Questions
I know it wouldn't happen anytime soon i was just wondering if anything has ever been proposed for that location within the past 5 years or if the owner plans on keeping it as a parking lot for a lot longer.

Cleveland: Random Quick Questions
Has there been anything recently proposed for the parking lot across from the palace theater at the corner of east 17th and euclid avenue. I thought i heard awhile back that the next step in playhouse squares vision is to either put apartment buildings or condo's on some of the empty lots and i was wondering if this was one of them because its a great location and residencies would be great for the area.

Another Dumb-a$$ List / Ranking of Cities
I think the whole weather thing is getting old too. Everyday during the winter months aren't miserable. Several people actually enjoy the weather and the activities it brings such as sledding, outside ice-skating, skiing/snowboarding, building snowmen or having snowball fights. Also Christmas with snow and all the lights is better then a hot Christmas. And I personally sleep better in the winter then in the summer. All of our seasons bring different aspects to our life that are good in someway, maybe bad in another way but it doesn't make us miserable. I like the lights, decorations, outdoor activities, and sleeping, in the winter. The flowers blossoming, and the warming of weather in the spring, the perfectly clear sunny days full of colors, and outdoor activities in the summer. And the change of color in the trees, football, and a little cooler temperature in the fall. We get to enjoy all the seasons and the benefits that come with them, it gives us something to look forward to at all times. Several cities/states can't say that.

Cleveland: Demolition Watch
Remembering the Public Square implosion 1982 implosion made way for BP building By: Tom Livingston CLEVELAND - A gorgeous October morning in 1982 was the setting for a memorable demolition of two historic Cleveland buildings. It was Oct. 3, 1982, and the buildings were the Cuyahoga and Williamson buildings to be exact. They were ornate buildings from another era considered to be 'blighted' so a new skyscraper could rise downtown.... Does anyone know the total number of homicides in the city so far this year?

Cleveland Browns Discussion
By no means am I criticizing his skills. I'm just saying that even if Hardesty stays healthy and gets a load of carries, there are still going to be opportunities for other guys, like Harrison, to step in and produce. I'd rather have a two-headed monster than be glad about the injury of one of the guys because I like the other one better. I agree, im hoping he recovers and and can stay healthy and be a strong second back.

Cleveland Browns Discussion
In the 5 games that Jerome Harrison started and ran the ball for over 15 times which is normal for a starting back he ran for 734 yards. Give him a whole season as the feature back and he should easily get over 1000 yards per year. Hell if he could keep that pace (which is not likely) he would have 2202 yards after 15 games which would beat the record for most rushing yards in a season. So you can't expect him to only produce 862 yards in a season when he was never actually given a full season.

Cleveland: Midtown: Development and News
I don't think the design is that horrible, maybe not what we would prefer but still. The area could definitely use some development and this could help spure other development. We can't be to picky, im glad anything is going up. And i don't find them responsible for trying to increase sidewalk activity. I mean look at the area, its has a long way to go until there will be sidewalk activity. And this will look better then an empty lot. Imagine being a tourist and driving down the cities main street and seeing an ugly giant empty lot or a brand new brick and glass building. Which one would you prefer?

Cleveland Browns Discussion
Well im glad that it will give Jerome Harrison a better shot because he really deserves one. Hardesty has been injury prone so you had to expect something like this to happen eventually. I thought it was annoying when people where saying that Jerome Harrison hasn't proven himself in the NFL yet and that he shouldn't start and that Hardesty should, which makes no sense since Hardesty really hasn't proven himself. I hope Hardesty gets healthy and can be a strong second back and that he can hold up once the pads come on.

Cleveland: Random Development and News
I noticed that. I like the old image better, it seemed better quality and more green! Now it makes it look more southwestern like phoenix or las vegas. I agree. It looks like it was taken early on a weekend morning giving everything a weird, grayish sun glared look and the city looks abandoned. Oh well. Just wait another 6 months and it will probably change again. Yeah i remember the old one was pretty new too because the one before that, the grass on the science centers parking garage was dead and then the old one it was living. But oh well, it will change eventually like you said

Cleveland: Random Quick Questions
Just a thought........I wonder if folks from other city's ask why their city doesn't have something like place "X" or whatever, in Cleveland? Or, is it only us always asking "why don't we have what they have?" I have a question....Why don't we focus more on being original and a trend/example setter...and not the follower? Im not saying that we should try to build a new version of that or follow what they do i was just wondering an area like that does not exist since i've seen it in several other older cities.

I think its different cause the warehouse district is smaller and more connected to downtown than the other ones are. The other ones are close but still a little farther away.
