  1. Added the Casino to the post that started this thread.
  2. An exciting end of the game. Thank god for Phil Dawson though. He kept us in the game. 3 field goals of 50+ yards. Supposedly ties a record.
  3. And even more room...
  4. You might have been referring to me. And yes, I believe they should have a cop at all major stations, such as Ohio City Station, Little Italy-University Circle Station, Cedar-University Circle Station, and Tower City of course. It increases the real and perceived safety, and also cuts down on people not paying. If all major stops had an RTA cop at them, it would be harder for someone to not pay. This system wont be able to prevent people from riding from West Blvd to West 65th, or East 79th to East 105th, but in reality, that should be no concern as there will be hardly anybody riding that. It would make it much harder to get Downtown, Ohio city, or University Circle, all major traffic generators, without paying. On top of that, the cops can give information to people new to the city or system.
  5. Red Line For the months of January through June, from the year 1995 to 2012, the Red Line has carried over 3 million passengers only once. That was this year (2012) with 3,079,800!
  6. ^ Sorry it took awhile to respond. Its from the planning commission.
  7. Terrible site plan in my opinion. Whats with that frontage on Prospect? It also makes it appear that there will be some sort of parking garage there which is dumb. That building will raise demand for the nearly empty South Garage, which will still be half empty. Hopefully the actual individual designs are better than this. Someone needs to go that meeting and challenge them on these issues!
  8. ^ Now if only the Browns won the superbowl, Indians the world series, and the Cavs the championship, we could have three additional huge parades and crowds which would provide RTA with a huge year! :D

  11. It would be nice if building 5 brought in actual retail and not restaurants. New build construction, all at once, might be able to attract retailers that have ignored downtown otherwise. I do like seeing the building will be 7 floors as well.
  12. I feel like Switzerland seems to have a lot of great cities. From what I have read, Zurich, and Switzerland overall have a really high quality of life.
  13. Are the red line cars going to get their interiors refurbished anytime soon? They are hideous. Plus there always seems to trash in the Red Line cars. I wonder if that is because of how crappy the interiors are. When I ride the Green/Blue lines which have far nicer interiors, I notice little to no trash, and a overall much cleaner car.
  14. Thanks for the update. Im also excited to see the greenspace when its done.
  15. Not to mention there are a ton of great homes in SHAKER SQUARE (a neighborhood in Cleveland that borders Shaker Hts. & Cleve. Hts.)! This is actually a great suggestion. Over there you can find an older home, in the City of Cleveland. You will be right in walking distance from Shaker Square which provides restaurants, grocery store, movie theater, coffee shop, CVS as well as other amenities. And although the square is completely in the City of Cleveland, a decent portion of it is in the Shaker Heights school district, so that is nice. You have access to rail, so you will be about a 15 minute train ride into downtown. University Circle is just minutes away. Its nearby the Shaker Lakes and the great nature over there. So overall I think it could work quite nicely for you.
  16. Winks Bar and Grille sign proposal on East 9th. Atleast it will be removing the ugly Key West Cafe sign!
  17. Many of our train stations do have free parking lots located next to them, but the ones near University Circle do not. You might be able to get away with parking on the street near the Cedar Road - University Circle Station though.
  18. I would probably avoid the Hull Avenue one. I think the Ashbury one could be interesting. Its very close to University Circle and all the museums. Being so close, the crime there is less than one would expect, and I think that area will improve overtime as well. You would be a short bike ride away from many great attractions and restaurants, and a short drive from downtown. Or you could always take the train or healthline, which would require a decent walk or bike ride to the station.
  19. ^Most likely. Can you name some the areas/streets you are looking at?
  20. I say demolish the bridge and open up all that space downtown and the west bank of the flats ;)
  21. Did these things ever happen?
  22. ^ That video is from RTA's youtube
  23. Phil Dawson still has more career rushing touchdowns as a Brown than all of our RB's combined!
