Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
Perfection does not exist. It works fine for me. Good to hear, maybe there is problems with certain routes. This feature is a great addition though. Just got a bit nervous after seeing a lot of complaints on twitter and then that Cleveland.com post.

Cleveland: Midtown: Development and News
Imagine if 6611 Euclid Avenue, next to the Dunham Tavern, was getting renovated instead of demolished. You would have the new midtown tech park, galluccis, this "Frost" project, a renovated 6611 Euclid Avenue, and Dunham Tavern all within one block.

Cleveland: Historic Photos
I love that stretch of Euclid because, well just look at that picture, every building still exists. They are historic, and have good height to them. Its a shame to see that stretch look the way it does today, but atleast it hasn't been demolished. And within the next ten years, even less, I expect to see that stretch revitalized.

Okay twitter seems to be sharing bad experiences with NextConnect and now this... IT pro gives RTA's new real-time schedule website a failing grade http://blog.cleveland.com/letters/2012/06/it_pro_gives_rtas_new_real-tim.html

Cleveland: Random Development and News
Well their district office is right next door and they did lose some parking spaces due to the construction of the new interbelt bridge. I bet being right next door to progressive field made it a bit easier too.

Cleveland: Downtown: East 4th Street Developments
Yeah there is definitely something going on with that plywood space. If you look at the picture above, you see how the plywood is further back into the storefront and the whole thing looks like crap. It has been like that forever. Now the plywood is more built out showing some sort of construction going on inside. Also what is in the space above the storefront? Could we possibly see a two story space? More like this And look how far this area has come. These photos were taken by Mayday awhile back.

Cleveland: University Circle: Centric Development (formerly Intesa)
CSU leased their land to a private developer to build Campus Village, a $50 million dollar project that is underway. They seemed to be able to get financing relatively easy and fast but I wasnt behind the scenes. I feel like if phased, this project might also be able to break ground, with apartments on Mayfield Road where they originally proposed a parking garage... ;)

Cleveland: Downtown: John Hartness Brown Buildings / Euclid Grand
That would be one awesome hotel valet area for guest to drop off their bags and enter the hotel. Is there an entrance to the building back there since it used to be a street? No need to make a garage entrance on Euclid!

Big Strong Men Will Very Rarely Eat Pork Chops.
King Henry Died By Drinking Chocolate Milk is what I learned in school and It has nothing to do with streets. Its actually school related. Funny thing is that I remember the phrase but cant remember what it is for. I had to google it to remember.

Cleveland: University Circle: Centric Development (formerly Intesa)
We all want this project done sooner than later, but I want it done right. Im not sure if everything in their current plan is right. If they do lose the option, it might not be the worst thing ever, especially if someone is right there waiting to pick it up with a better design, that gets investors more excited.

Cleveland: Downtown: Jack Cleveland Casino - Phase 2
It's man-made. You shut off the water. Or, you let it keep running long enough to create a tourist attraction. Each time the waterfall freezes, melts and refreezes, it will look different and create beautiful new "sculptures" for people to visit, sketch, photograph and maybe even climb. There will be reasons to visit it multiple times each winter, and don't you think Cleveland needs more fun things to do in the winter that celebrates winter?...... Great pictures KJP. I was thinking of Niagara Falls and pictures I have seen of them frozen. Cool stuff.

Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
Thanks for the response. I was reading an old article and it mentioned it which reminded me so I asked. Does RTA still plan on running the Waterfront Line daily once the Flats East Bank opens up? I wonder how much of a ridership boost this project will have. I feel like Phase 2 is what will really add to the ridership, but I believe phase 1 can still help. Thanks

Cleveland: Public Square Redesign

Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
Back off the attitude. I dont know where this came from as I wasn't trying to show any attitude. Im sorry you took it that way, as it wasnt intended. GCRTA receives the attitude on twitter, and its nice to see they always respond politely Edit: Btw, I havent had a chance to use the nextconnect but I have checked out the website and it looks to be a great addition. And from what I have heard the times are extremely accurate. The maps take some time to load and dont always work, but that doesnt really matter to me. The times are the important information and those appear to be working perfectly. So great addition. And if new fare machines are coming soon, than thats another great plus for RTA.

Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
Here is where I got RTA's operating budget. I thought this website would have reliable information. http://www.riderta.com/ar_RTAfacts.asp Also this shows expenditures of $266.2 million against estimated revenue of $255.4 million http://www.riderta.com/usercontent/file/2011-11-15-PublicHearStmt.pdf Also when are those 20 minute red line intervals going to go down to 15 minute intervals? RTA said "May or June."

Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
Saw this on twitter. "@GCRTA Why must we suffer worst ticket machines on planet? http://pic.twitter.com/MWMZpEeX" RTA's response..."changes are coming sooner than you think!" ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Also, has anyone had a chance to use http://www.nextconnect.riderta.com/ yet?

Cleveland: Downtown: John Hartness Brown Buildings / Euclid Grand
I wont be able to get back there anytime soon. So to anyone who works or lives downtown, and has some time to spare, it would be very much appreciated if a picture of the back of these buildings was taken. Id really like to see this original facade everyone is talking about. Im really surprised there is no pictures of it.

Cleveland: Downtown: Jack Cleveland Casino - Phase 2
Its from 2011 and I have definitely seen it before, but completely forgot about it. Im trying to find where it originally popped up from.
