  1. ^Across from the Q? Now that would draw people!
  2. You dont need to pay even. People will do it for free for exposure and tips. They leave a tip jar of some sort, and have fliers that they can hand out to people as well which is the major thing.
  3. Just saw this image in the Final Group Plan Commission Report. This is exactly the type of thing this city needs. It is almost exactly as I was thinking of in the first post http://planning.city.cleveland.oh.us/grouplan/assets/FINALGroupPlanCommissionReport052311.pdf
  4. Hanna Theater Break In http://www.newsnet5.com/dpp/news/local_news/cleveland_metro/break-in-at-hanna-theatre-in-clevelands-playhousesquare
  5. When I asked people over at city hall a couple years ago about trying to increase the number of people going down to Public Square during lunch and other times of the day through event programming, they didnt really take the idea well. They basically said its just a place for people to wait for busses. Didnt make me feel excited about the future. Baltimore has a small amphitheater in their inner harbor that people can get scheduled in to use, which draws nice crowds. While I was there, a comic magician was there performing. We stopped by for about 10 minutes and had a nice time. I dont get why something like that cant be done in Cleveland. Found this picture online.
  6. People said they wanted to know a comparison so I thought this would work. Dont take it as the whole picture, just a quick glance at some facts. Greater Cleveland RTA $260.5 million budget 2,103 Employees Ridership - 46.2 million CEO Salary - $243,386. 3% pay increase with an addition $20,000 bonus. Allegheny Port Authority (Pittsburgh) $292.9 million budget 2,500 Employees Ridership - 63 million CEO Salary - $185,000. Accepted 2 year salary freeze.

^ I couldnt find Franklin County homicide numbers. That was going to be my original comparison because Cuyahoga County at 457.19 sq miles is close to Franklin County at 532.19 sq miles. I settled on using just Columbus numbers and found it fascinating to see that Columbus has more homicides, than a much larger, geographically and population wise, Cuyahoga County.

Ive always thought this was an interesting way to compare Cleveland to Columbus Cuyahoga County - 2010 Land - 457.19 sq mi Population - 1,280,122 Homicides - 98 Columbus - 2010 Land - 210.3 sq mi Population - 787,033 Homicides - 105
  15. Thanks guys! They seemed to have done a great job preserving their downtown.
  16. Can someone please get a picture of the alley side back of this building? I dont think any exist anywhere.
  17. We seemed to lose our largest and most ornate buildings.
  18. I was also thinking that. I wonder what, if anything, is under the storefront to the right.

  21. ^ Cool thanks for the link. Im going to add it to the Cleveland Webcams list.
  22. Really? You want that fight for this? Im just wondering why it has to be so expensive to just staff stations.
  23. ' $10 per hour is only slightly higher than minimum wage. These are union jobs. Is there anyway to get around this though to have them non-union, hourly, no benefits jobs?
  24. Until plans are released, anything we say here will be speculation. Well I sure hope so. Those look like they could be the best storefronts in the city. That section is filled with storefronts and could become a great part of Euclid Avenue. And as we stated before, hopefully the Euclid Avenue parking garage driveway entrance is axed.
