Cleveland: Public Square Redesign
It would make sense for the casino money to be used for the giant public space right outside the casinos front door!

Cleveland: Demolition Watch
I feel sorry for this building. I would've been really proud to have gone to school in a place this beautiful. I feel like a lot of Cleveland's schools have this similar architecture and brick color. Would be sad to see them all demolished until their are none left. In that picture, the exterior looks to be in good condition atleast.

Suburban Sprawl News & Discussion
Thank god! Acacia Country Club shareholders reject $12 million offer from retail developer Visconsi LYNDHURST, Ohio -- Shareholders at Acacia Country Club narrowly rejected a $12 million purchase offer Tuesday evening, after months of talk about a potential deal with a shopping center developer. To pass, the sale required approval by members holding two-thirds of the club's outstanding shares. But the proposal got only 63 percent of the vote, said Charles Longo, the club's president. Developers have been chasing Acacia for decades. The private club's land, nearly 160 acres of green space in Lyndhurst, is surrounded by Beachwood Place mall, Legacy Village shopping center, apartments and single-family homes. The Donald Ross-designed golf course could be a prime site for anything from offices to housing, a hotel or more stores. http://www.cleveland.com/business/index.ssf/2012/06/acacia_country_club_shareholde_2.html

Cleveland: Forest City Enterprises News & Info
I have no idea where to put this, but Ive heard Forest City is all into lifestyle centers now. But I think we are lucky, as I believe they are interested in developing them out of state. But extreme lifestyle centers. They want you to never have to leave. Including even schools.

Cleveland: Name 5 things that...
I dont believe this to be true in my experiences. Growing up in the northeast suburbs along the lake, you really see everything. Whites, blacks, hispanics, thugs, hillbillys, people of walmart etc. All different income levels too. Im not familiar with the west side suburbs, or the extremely far out ones like Chardon, but where I grew up this was not the case. Also someone mentioned Mentors traffic. I agree, I cant stand driving there! Besides visiting my girlfriends aunt and grandma, I never want to step foot in that city again! Ha!

Cleveland: Name 5 things that...
Cleveland 1. Walkability (I HATE driving) 2. Architecture (I love looking at buildings while walking and driving) 3. Streetlife (I like walking down a street full of people sitting at patios and just walking around. Little Italy) 4. Interesting places to go. (West side market, Little Italy, festivals, downtown, etc.) 5. Access to public transit. 6. Being excited about all the new urban developments! Suburbs 1. Better public schools 2. Less crime in most places 3. Less abandonment and decay (but growing)

Cleveland: Name 5 things that...
make living in Cleveland better, and 5 things that make living in the suburbs better. I think it will be intersting to see peoples responses, and to say 5 things nice about something they dislike. Cleveland 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Suburbs 1. 2. 3. 4. 5.

- Cleveland Rapid Rail Construction Projects (Non-Service Issues)
And unfortunately the station is next to this pedestrian nightmare! I do believe they plan on addressing this though. I hope so atleast, because it is much needed. Edit: Makes is a little better. Especially the connection to Case, but there still needs to be a connection to the interior of case by Van Horn Field in my opinion.- Cleveland Rapid Rail Construction Projects (Non-Service Issues)
I don't like using our rail line as an entity to just have busses drop people off at so that they could transfer. The rail line should serve the neighborhood, not a bus transfer. The redline completly misses the Cleveland clinic, which sucks, but atleast it passes directly behind UH and Case. But what do we do? We build inconvient station locations that result in a loss of ridership, just so that we can have busses nearby for transfers. Its annoying be we aren't taking full advantage of an already not so great route. Adelbert would drop people right at Case's and UH's doors! There are even some lots over there that could be TOD. Edit: Also an Adelbert stop would better serve further away places like Severance Hall, and the Art Museum. But funding is already in place so I know there is no way this station will be moved unfortunately. But I agree with you that at a minimum, a pedestrian pathway to Van Horn Field is a must! And some sort of strong connection to the Cleveland Clinic.- Cleveland Rapid Rail Construction Projects (Non-Service Issues)
I'd settle for a more reliable connection between the existing redline stations and the CC. the only link between the HL and the Redline is windermere and the PEE step of East 120th Something needs to happen. Also wouldn't a station on Adelbert be more convenient for Case and UH than the current station location at Cedar? Mayfield road should be a huge stop though and I'm looking forward to that station being built!- Cleveland: Public Square Redesign
Thanks for the pictures. I love the station shot. We dont have enough of those or any good transit shots really. If the train was there it would have been perfect, but great picture nonetheless. Makes me wonder, so far the city is doing fine with Superior and Ontario being closed off in Public Square for marine week. Hopefully someone is paying attention, as it is the perfect study to prove we dont need those damn streets running through public square and we can finally just make one large square! :D- Cleveland Rapid Rail Construction Projects (Non-Service Issues)
I really wish it was possible to have the red line connect to the Cleveland Clinic. I think we would see a huge increase in ridership.- Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
Looks good. I havent had a chance to check it out yet, so thanks for the pictures!- Cleveland: Flats East Bank
Awesome, thanks for the pictures. This development has to have some sort of positive effect on old river road.- CLEVELAND - G3: Going to work, Gordon Square and GIFT Cruise
Ive always loved the Rose Building, and I think you captured it perfectly here! Looks great!- Willoughby, Ohio
Ive always wanted someone to do a photo thread of this. I was going to, but never got around to it, so thanks! Also it looks nice at night. They have lights on all the trees year round.- Cleveland: Flats East Bank
I took some pictures today too. Only can post one right now though. I have to find the other one. And damn, shooters makes me want an awesome boardwalk even more!- Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
Same here. Looks really nice.- The Official *I Love Cleveland* Thread
Haha its interesting to see someone experience the city from California. And he joined the team late last year, so prior to this summer, he only got to experience the winter. The only reason I really know he exists is because Im a huge fan of Phil Dawson, and the former longsnapper, Pontriband, was really hurting Dawson's field goal percentage with some really terrible snaps. Also prevented him from tieing a NFL record :x- Cleveland Browns Discussion
And H&H didnt want to address the issue in the draft and refuse to make any moves in free agency. They even say they like our receiving core and didnt see it as a big priority.- Cleveland: Downtown: East 4th Street Developments
I think if true, a lot of residents, workers, and visitors will be very happy. I dont eat there, but I know its very popular. They dont franchise right? So that means they straight up just want to be in Cleveland.- The Official *I Love Cleveland* Thread
^ Haha I was a kicker so I respect the position . And he has some funny ass tweets.- Cleveland: Random Photos
