  1. I saw that too. Probably just updating it.
  2. I hate the argument, "You dont like crime, trash, drug sales, panhandlers, etc., then go live in "name any suburb"" What If I want an urban walkable neighborhood, with great architecture and culture, and access to public transportation. What if I hate the layout of car depended suburbs? Why do people who want to live in that urban place have to deal with all the crap? And im not saying I necessarily think Public Square is, but that argument annoys me.
  3. I personally believe that the legalization of drugs is the best way to decrease crime in our neighborhoods.
  4. ^ Didn't you hear? The city bought out a company that made beige and grey building materials back in the 80's. Ever since then we have been giving away the remaining supplies for free to any developer who builds in the city. :-P
  5. Thanks!
  6. Wow a lot more than I thought was up. Thanks for the pictures!
  7. KJP, dont forget you still have the whole highway widening in Lake County that is still going on.
  8. that will do. Lets not get too crazy with this. LOL Just trying to improve my data. With the new borders, its population density grew by nearly 2,000. Still second highest in the city

Not really unknown but if you havent before, go to the John Hancock observation deck at night. Most people talk about or go to the sears tower one, but the John Hancock observation deck is far better. Amazing experience in my opinion.
  11. ^ Check the map again. Like that? You kind of confused me. Can you give the your barriers?
  12. ''So you used S. Moreland and Van Aken portions of Shaker Square? You have to use the homes right behind my crib. Here I threw this together really fast for you http://g.co/maps/sgufj
  13. For Little Italy I used just Little Italy, not the census tract which contains far more and definitely gives misleading data. Ohio City I used the core which I consider everything in-between West 25th, West 44th, Lorain and Franklin. Tremont I used the triangle, or north half of Tremont only. I had two different methods for Shaker Square. One was Buckeye to Larchemere, East 121st to Coventry(City of Cleveland only, so its does not follow streets exactly) The other method included everything north of Larchmere to Fairhill. Both give you very similar densities. If you have a different suggestion for Shaker Square since you know it best, then Id be glad to do different borders.
  14. ^ I did the math myself. What other areas are you interested in?
  15. Awesome! Thanks for sharing!

^ Budget is less of an issue. A list of several hotels would be very helpful though. My main concern is location.
  17. Thanks! Interesting bit about rockwell. They also mentioned closing East 3rd for green space which would be automatic if rockwell was closed. That would connect the malls to superior really well.
  18. ^ Do it! Ha! And ask if they know if it still exists underneath. I would love to tear that facade off and restore the original. Tear the siding off La Barberia and expose the original brick facade. And rip out the "newer" brick at 2027 Murray Hill and replace it with large glass storefronts! Oh and also restore these covered storefronts! http://g.co/maps/69xau
  19. That picture was taken on February 21st, 1964. So that not long before they closed. Its a shame it was covered up. I wonder what exists, if anything, under there.
  20. We have a fountain and statue combined on Mall A. Do people forget? If that can hold it I dont understand why people doubt Mall B or C could handle it.
  21. ^ 1.13 square miles

That would be a cool movie scene. Show modern day and have it transition into the past showing the place in its prime.
  23. When I was reading that sentence I was thinking you were saying this at first before continuing on. Haha!
  24. Also my counts give you University Circle - 4,204 Little Italy - 2,004 Cleveland Heights(West of Coventry) - 8,196 Total = 14,404
