Cleveland: Suburban Crime & Safety Discussion
Sorry I left out the end. I meant to say on Cedar Road. Atleast last time I drove down Cedar there was a noticeable difference in my opinion of west of coventry rd to east of it.

Cleveland: UO "neighborhood score" rating system
Well for population density I know that Little Italy is the densest area in the city. Trailed by Shaker Square, Ohio City, University Circle, and Tremont. Gold Coast, Coventry, and Cedar Fairmount lead for outside the city. And denser than any Cleveland neighborhood. All three of those areas can take the #1 spot depending on what you define as the neighborhood barriers. One thing to note is that the Gold Coast lacks the direct amenities that the other two neighborhoods have(restaurants, bars, shops, grocery store, etc.).

And from there it can split and take you to either Coventry or Cedar Fairmount, without ever having to walk outside! Possibly even install a moving walkway so you dont actually have to do the walking. :-P

Cleveland Public Schools: News and Discussion
If there are four 5th grade teachers, and three of them have students that consistently pass with good grades but one teacher has a class where a large portion fail and others do poorly, year after year, then thats how you can blame a teacher, for part of the issue at least.

Cleveland: Jack Cleveland Casino
The building is in terrible shape. I dont want it to be demolished. I will be mad if it gets demolished. But even if the casino wasn't pushing for it, the building would still end up demolished because of terrible pathetic ownership over the last several decades. Its a shame. Historic buildings, especially the oldest downtown, should not be disregarded like this and left to fall apart.

Cleveland: Jack Cleveland Casino
The building itself doesn't look bad. And the parking garage portion looks good for a parking garage. Yes we lost the Columbia building, but thats done with now. The new structure is looking better than expected. Hopefully the Stanley Block will be saved but you cant really blame the Casino. The owners have taken no action and let it rot for the last 30 years.
