  1. Ill post these again. But Little Italy's census tract includes several areas outside the borders. Here are Little Italy's true numbers. Total Population = 2004 White = 1566 Black = 43 Asian = 395 Therefore... White = 78% Black = 2% Asian = 20%

Hi guys! I will be spending a couple nights in pittsburgh and was wondering if anyone had any hotel suggestions. I would prefer one with a great location downtown. Any suggestions? Thanks! Edit: Also any suggestions on cant miss places, tours, etc.?
  3. Sorry I left out the end. I meant to say on Cedar Road. Atleast last time I drove down Cedar there was a noticeable difference in my opinion of west of coventry rd to east of it.
  4. You can see a clear difference is house maintenance in my opinion once you cross over coventry road.
  5. Hahah funny story and video. He should have called the cops though. Teach the kid another lesson out of it. ha!
  6. It looks like they are getting ready to start the next block of buildings. It would be nice to see construction continue on the next phase right away!
  7. I think this thread should probably be merged with this one. http://www.urbanohio.com/forum2/index.php/topic,22208.msg461673.html#msg461673

  11. Any pictures of the downtown Wendys?
  12. Good map. BTW, these two companies are Weston/Tony Asher companies...... WEST 3RD & SUPERIOR LTD WEST 6TH ST & ST, CLAIR LTD Thanks, I knew they were under several names but weren't sure which ones. I updated the maps color coordination.
  13. Thanks! It a shame the Stanley Block is in such bad shape.
  14. Buckeye Commons Buckeye Road and East 116th Street
  15. Well for population density I know that Little Italy is the densest area in the city. Trailed by Shaker Square, Ohio City, University Circle, and Tremont. Gold Coast, Coventry, and Cedar Fairmount lead for outside the city. And denser than any Cleveland neighborhood. All three of those areas can take the #1 spot depending on what you define as the neighborhood barriers. One thing to note is that the Gold Coast lacks the direct amenities that the other two neighborhoods have(restaurants, bars, shops, grocery store, etc.).

  19. And from there it can split and take you to either Coventry or Cedar Fairmount, without ever having to walk outside! Possibly even install a moving walkway so you dont actually have to do the walking. :-P
  20. Here is what I found on the the planning commission GIS map. Zoom in once to get the 45 degree angle which makes it clearer. http://g.co/maps/w9z5d
  21. Wow, that must look amazing in person
  22. If there are four 5th grade teachers, and three of them have students that consistently pass with good grades but one teacher has a class where a large portion fail and others do poorly, year after year, then thats how you can blame a teacher, for part of the issue at least.
  23. The building is in terrible shape. I dont want it to be demolished. I will be mad if it gets demolished. But even if the casino wasn't pushing for it, the building would still end up demolished because of terrible pathetic ownership over the last several decades. Its a shame. Historic buildings, especially the oldest downtown, should not be disregarded like this and left to fall apart.
  24. The building itself doesn't look bad. And the parking garage portion looks good for a parking garage. Yes we lost the Columbia building, but thats done with now. The new structure is looking better than expected. Hopefully the Stanley Block will be saved but you cant really blame the Casino. The owners have taken no action and let it rot for the last 30 years.
