  1. ToCleveland, here is another Little Italy property that has parking. http://www.padmapper.com/show.php?type=0&id=99843938&src=main
  2. I lived two doors down for a long time. Its a great hood but $2500 is too pricey. You will find coming from CA that cost of living is great here. Just a suggestion because of the two car garage and location. If the price could be lowered, it would be perfect. And it comes with the wall mounted tv's and new appliances which are a plus!
  3. Not sure, but based on google maps it looks completed. Compare that view to street view, where even the side lot is completely unpaved. http://maps.google.com/?ll=41.506771,-81.599917&spn=0.001486,0.002411&t=h&z=19&vpsrc=6 Streetview http://g.co/maps/hdtfu
  4. @MTS The only point of posting the baltimore aquarium yelp is to show that people dont only use yelp to complain. I could have posted Chinato (http://www.yelp.com/biz/chinato-cleveland) great reviews, but decided to stay with the aquarium theme. That was the only purpose. To show that yelp isn't only used to complain, and that poor reviews shouldn't just be ignored because its in Cleveland and we want it to be great.
  5. Shaker Square has several highly rated, very popular restaurants. Here is a great space in Little Italy. Close to the Clinic, two car garage, private patio, and comes completely furnished if you want it to. Its a bit expensive and im not sure if its still available but you could contact them and see if they would lower the price a bit, if they have become desperate to rent it out. http://www.zillow.com/homedetails/2079-Random-Rd-102-Cleveland-OH-44106/2124515143_zpid/
  6. Welcome to Cleveland and to UrbanOhio! A few quick questions before a further reply. What is your age group, and what is your price range
  7. Nobody has anything to say about this?
  8. I don't agree with that statement. If these negative reviews keep coming, then there is clearly something wrong. Take a look at baltimores aquarium for instance. Many people go on to say great things about it. http://m.yelp.com/biz/national-aquarium-in-baltimore-baltimore

Two major snow falls accounted for over 40% of this winters total. I think why it feels like nothing is because after a day or two, even our largest snowfalls have completely melted. Snow has not stuck, and most of the winter we have seen green grass, not snow hills. In addition, we have had some unseasonable sunny days, and high temperatures, breaking up the winter a bit.
  10. Westlake's pursuit of new water source threatens stability of Cleveland utility WESTLAKE, Ohio -- Suburban Westlake is making large waves in regional water politics with an ambitious gambit to tap an outside water source -- a move that could lead to major financial problems for the Cleveland water department. One of Cleveland's biggest customers, Westlake is working on plans to set up its own water department and buy wholesale from the Avon Lake water system in neighboring Lorain County. The Cleveland water department, already struggling with declining consumption, is moving aggressively to stop the revolt led by longtime Westlake Mayor Dennis Clough. It would be the first defection from the regional water system since several Lake County communities left in the early 1980s, and it could have far-reaching ramifications. Some fear that if Westlake pulls out, other dissatisfied western suburbs will follow. http://blog.cleveland.com/metro/2012/01/westlakes_pursuit_of_new_water.html
  11. I agree that touching him might have not been the best idea, but there is still a problem outside tower city on public square. Always seems to be dirty, with trash blowing around, crowded with people yelling and not creating a pleasant environment. Also someone has to put an end to those "street performers" on East 4th who stop people and "sing" them songs then demand money for their performance. I have avoided them all but once, but have seen them approach many others. This could make people feel uncomfortable on not as eager to return.
  12. I do think its mainly because of poor use around its stations. Most stations are terribly integrated into the surroundings, mainly because the location of the tracks, and many of the surroundings are also wastelands or industrial. In addition, the one downtown station(tower city) can be somewhat far from employment areas, especially in the winter. A downtown loop could do wonders, putting people closer to East 9th/12th, Playhouse Square, and Cleveland State. Also most downtown works dont live in the city, or near the tracks.
  13. I saw the red shelter up today. I like it. Adds life and color to the area. Should look even better during the summer!
  14. ^ Thank KJP! Im surprised Shaker Square doesn't get more market rate new construction like several other neighborhoods are getting.
  15. ^ The video gives a good look.
  16. First look at the Greater Cleveland Aquarium (with videos) The list of world-class tourist attractions in Northeast Ohio grows by one with Saturday’s opening of the Greater Cleveland Aquarium. Housed in the basement of the FirstEnergy Powerhouse on the west bank of the Flats in Cleveland, the $33 million complex is the only freestanding aquarium in Ohio. In its 10 exhibition areas, the aquarium is home to an estimated 5,000 creatures in 35 exhibit tanks containing an estimated one million gallons of water. http://news-herald.com/articles/2012/01/20/news/doc4f186cf099ad2580941212.txt
  17. Appears to be a modified design. They removed the dangerous driveway setbacks.
  18. I would love to see the Standard Building turned into apartments!
  19. What is this new construction? http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=41.48378,-81.597374&spn=0.001554,0.002411&gl=us&vpsrc=0&t=h&z=19

Cleveland's business, traffic would suffer if 2nd Inner Belt Bridge is delayed a decade, officials say CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The flow of commerce and traffic through downtown Cleveland will suffer with ODOT's plan to delay funding a second Inner Belt Bridge until 2023, officials say. Local leaders are demanding answers and insisting ODOT stick to its timeline of demolishing the existing Interstate 90 bridge in 2014 and building a new one by 2016, to pair with the new span going up now in the Cuyahoga River valley. ODOT shocked community leaders here and across the state Tuesday with a draft list showing that major, new projects will be postponed for years at a time. http://blog.cleveland.com/metro/2012/01/clevelands_business_traffic_wo.html
  21. RTA train derails in Shaker Heights, no passengers on board SHAKER HEIGHTS, Ohio - An RTA train derailed Tuesday night in Shaker Heights. According to RTA spokesperson Mary McCahon, the blue line train was heading westbound when it derailed at about 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of Farnsleigh Road http://www.newsnet5.com/dpp/news/local_news/oh_cuyahoga/rta-train-derails-in-shaker-heights-no-passengers-on-board
  22. ^ Correct. I believe the Maron parents live on top of the Euclid side of the old National City bank building
