I agree with certain cases of course. But Im surprised by the 60 somethings who leave all their children and grandchildren behind. I guess some people just dont really care to be a part of there children's adult lives and their grandchildren's lives. In the case where two children moved to California, and only one stayed in Ohio, then sure, go ahead and move to the easier climate where most of your kids and grandchildren are. Its not like I really care, do what you want, it just surprises me about the number of people who actually do it.

I dont understand people retiring places. All of my grandparents would never want to leave because they wouldn't want to leave there kids, and grandchildren. Same with my parents. They would never want to leave me and my brother and sister. And when we have kids, there is no way they are going anywhere. Also that nice picture of Cincinnati would be some much better if it weren't for those damn highways.

Im content, and I got my girlfriend to be content as well. She loves Cleveland almost as much as me, which wasn't always the case. Funny thing about Florida is I know several people who have vacationed there, and hated it. They said it was overrated and miserable. And these people weren't Cleveland fans either.
  4. Nice! I wonder if we will see the lot across from Lot 45 get developed, or the one directly across from MOCA, south of Mayfield.
  5. ^ Thanks for posting that! It will be interesting to see what they do. Anything is better than what is in there now.
  6. I love that graphic. Imagine what a huge difference that will make to that area. Were about 1/4 ways done!
  7. Just the top unfortunately.

I wasnt able to watch the game but I heard some good things. I did see that Irving went 4 for 14 and had 5 turnovers. Hopefully that progresses as the season begins.
  9. One thing that Seneca had going for him is that the line was actually blocking for him. He had more time that game than McCoy the entire season. Reasons im holding off being done with McCoy: 1. Offensive line has played terrible. Gives him no time to throw. 2. WR's are a joke. Cant get open, and drop far too many passes. 3. Our running game has been non existent, besides the two games for Ogbonnaya, who they wont let play.
  10. ^ Hahah well either he is the calmest player ever, or he doesn't care. He never showed any emotion, whether something good happened, or something bad happened. He carried the same blank face the entire game. With McCoy you see excitement or extreme disappointment. He definitely wants to win bad. You cant question his heart, like you said.
  11. Anybody else think Seneca looks like a prick who doesn't give a shit?
  12. Thats the first time ive seen those. Ive seen similar ones, but not those exact ones. Are those new?
  13. Downtown Cleveland: The Honey Locust Forest!
  14. This is far from any intersection. http://g.co/maps/zzfqz
  15. I think more personalized marketing would work. In places like Phoenix, Los Vegas, etc. it would be... In Cleveland, we have water! And grass! And trees! For cities like Houston... Cleveland, our city has character! Los Angeles... In Cleveland, we dont spend most of our lives stuck in traffic! New York City... You could be living in a 3 bedroom apartment in Cleveland for the price your paying for that closet in New York! Columbus... We have a lake! ;)
  16. ^ About the same distance as Public Square to CSU, except way less inviting. And besides East 18th, there are no streets past that point that run all the way north to Lakeside. Weird.
  17. That would be terrible. But yeah, I see either low density housing or more concentration of pubic housing developments going there.
  18. Thanks! It would be a shame if that area didn't get developed right. It has the best connection of rail in the entire city. From there, it just a short ride to Downtown, Ohio City/Westside Market, Airport, Little Italy, University Circle, Shaker Square. Best chance for Cleveland to do a large TOD.
  19. Remember, im not Urban Planner, and am basically only using the apple version of Powerpoint to make these. So go easy on me :) I would like to extend apartment or condo buildings along Shaker Boulevard to the West. 6+ stories tall. Continue to Woodhill Road where you would extend the Shaker Boulevards...(least favorite part of plan) Continue west and pass by my TOD dream area, and connect Shaker Boulevard to East 55th
  20. ' The four light beams on the right side of the picture are supposed to be the lights from the Towers of Light
  21. And besides the corners, it looks like it will be all cement with slanted driveway entrances. And the indents make it worse.
  22. How about these? http://g.co/maps/fpzs7 Still way less pedestrian friendly. But these designs just proposed have indents that will make it hard for a pedestrian to even know if a car is about to come out. In the one I just posted(which I personally dont like), you can atleast see the car coming.
  23. This was his first picture... http://g.co/maps/2vj3k And here is what is his other alternative is. I used a different location then what he chose. http://g.co/maps/my6hy You can clearly see that the second one is more friendly to the pedestrian, and has a nicer look to it.
