Cleveland: Random Quick Questions
^I believe it was built around 2002. Thats all I know about them. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ With the construction of the East Bank of the Flats, I would have thought there would be more excitment and energy going into the current section on old river road. It would be nice to see this area gain some life as well. I would like to see this area shown below active with new businesses, people, a used settlers landing park, and the waterfront line running! Also I think adding storefronts to the building on the left, and converting the upper floors into to residential would change the street immensely. Imagine large windows on that building.

I personally dont like those designs either. The second picture is very bland, and only two stories. Cleveland state is building 4 stories. The large stairway on the 3rd picture would not fit in well there, and would push the building further away from the street. And the other ones are just kind of blah. I do like the last ones though, good find. If they just moved them closer to the curb and added one more floor they'd be perfect!

People on here still seem to be ragging on the dorms. Do you guys still think the dorms are painful to look at? I personally would have preferred all brick but at least they kept the aluminum siding off the facade on the Euclid Avenue side. I dont think they are as bad as some make them out to be.

Good point. Alot of the trees shouldn't be touched though, and it looks like they plan on planting several new ones in areas they have to go, or were just parking lots before, so thats good.

What 3 buildings are being built first? The three fronting Chester, or the group of three on the far west side. I always assumed the later because those require no demolitions.

Given Cleveland States future plans, I like the location of the building. They plan on demolishing the Chester Building(right across from this site) and build a new science building fronting Chester. The Rec Center is also right there. Access to the Main Classroom has also been improved on Chester.

I cant make renderings as well as Burnham_2011 but this is what I would like to see happen in the future based on their current plans. I would like more buildings to the north, as well the building on the left take up the entire triangle shaped parking lot. This is the best I could do.- Cleveland: Jack Cleveland Casino
With all that money he might as well just build a tunnel- Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
^ I agree. They look well taken care of to me.- Cleveland: Hotel Development
^ How do you know someone else didnt happen to be up there the same day at the same time taking pictures? :P- Cleveland: Cleveland State University: Development and News
What is on the upper floors of Norton Furniture building? This building will be almost touching this new development. Could apartments work there? Would have some nice views of the city- Cleveland: Cleveland State University: Development and News
I wouldn't necessarily call those parking lots huge(see warehouse districts lots) and at least they are somewhat hidden. What I do like about the layout is that it appears that if these things do well, they will have room to expand by building on top of those lots. Look how nice a building would fit in those spaces.- Cleveland: Cleveland State University: Development and News
The townhouses away from the main streets. Site plan(Thank you X for finding this)- Cleveland: Cleveland State University: Development and News
From the site plans, it appears everything will be torn down.- Cleveland: Downtown & Vicinity Residences Discussion
Should all the residential discussion on Ohio City be moved here? http://www.urbanohio.com/forum2/index.php/topic,25309.msg537902.html#msg537902- Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
1. apartments. not luxury, but not slum-like either 2. developer tried to turn it into apts, could get the loans. too costly per sq ft 3. recently foreclosed on. up for auction. not able to be snagged by any reputable developer. 4. this has long been an assisted living home for people with disabilities 5. these are renovated and very nice condo/townhomes 6. someone bought this and is/has renovated it into a single unit 7. renovated apartment townhomes 8. renovated apartment townhomes 9. West Virginia bldg--renovated, market rate. beautiful 10. developer is actively working on putting apartments on the upper floors as part of a larger redevelopment effort Thank you for that. Was very helpful! With that, it shows that there are plenty of opportunities for market rate apartments in Ohio City in the future. The infrastructure is there, its just the money/vision lacking at the moment.- Cleveland: Jack Cleveland Casino
