I believe there are more bad teachers out there then some would like to believe. And it should be a decision of the Principal, BOE and possibly fellow teachers, not just one person. And there are way more bad teachers than "BOE member's niece who just got her teaching license" out there. And any scenario can be made up just like that one. What about the teacher fresh out of college who wants to make a difference and can be a great teacher. There are no openings though because although one school has five terrible teachers, it is almost impossible to fire them. Those jobs could have be given to people who cared, if it weren't for tenure. And I said SB5 went too far. But 15% is far less than the national average. Ive heard people who make over $90,000 saying they wouldn't know what they would do if they had to pay 15%. Now that is being out of touch with society.
  2. What are these buildings? Apartments? Market rate? I think that SB5 went to far. Once it is most likely repealed, I would like to see them come back with education reform. Remove tenure completely, make raises based on performance, not how long you've been there, and make employees pay more into their healthcare. To many bad teachers are out there that cant be touched. Its a shame. Even one terrible teacher can really hurt a child's education.
  4. What current apartment buildings does Ohio City have?
  5. He is becoming a mess in every aspect. If he is not here next season I wont be that disappointed. If anything im afraid he will become an even bigger distraction.
  6. GREAT PICTURES! Thank you KJP, can you find me pictures of the area where the terminal tower is today?
  7. im afraid that this block will die to parking http://g.co/maps/y4yfw
  8. Here is one that still exists http://g.co/maps/deykg
  9. Only one of the three buildings will have retail space. Definitely a huge improvement from those parking lots! Good find X!
  10. Campus Village construction is expected to begin on Monday, November 7th.
  11. Realistically he was no loss. Who would have thought at the beginning of the season that this far into the season our top two running backs would be Ogbonnaya and Clayton. Even though I did expect Hillis and Hardesty to be injured at one point of the season
  12. Atleast that is possibly one of the least significant buildings over there. But there does seem to already be alot of parking spaces over there to begin with
  13. ^ Looking at the census data, im getting only about 6,000 to 7,000. Add the 2,000 people in the county jail and the 2,000 on the west bank of the flats and there is your 10,000/11,000ish number. But even the original 7,000 is deceiving. The 7000 comes from everything east of the river, south of the lake, and north and west of the highway. These boundaries include several homeless shelters that add another 400-500 plus more people to the numbers. Also would you classify someone living on the corner of St. Clair and East 26th as living downtown? Doesnt seem like downtown living to me. Thats another reason I dont like those borders.
  14. using the crane to hangup new flags. No lol, but I hope they take down the dillards sign. Is that thing still up there?
  15. If you had a trolly route such as this, you would have some great connections. Most of the major hotels would be in a short walk to the trolly. It would also connect with tower city, casino, movie theater, RTA lines, Convention Center, Gateway, East 4th, Warehouse District, Playhouse Square, CSU, Apartments, Condos, and Offices. http://g.co/maps/5c7z4
  16. I think the true downtown population is more around 6,000 to 7,000.
  17. Yeah you can subtract 2,024 from Clevelands number.
  18. They have signage up? Dont believe that building has ever been photographed on here
