  1. First team definitely looked good! Hopefully will be an exciting year. Ill be there the first game when we beat the Bengals! :) Atleast this year they are staying in bounds. Last year all of his downfield sideline throws went sailing out of bounds. Colt looked great though!
  2. The only thing that pops up from searching shaker square as of now is this from 4 days ago. http://www.woio.com/story/15230186/cops-and-swat-have-cleveland-motel-surrounded Doesnt mean I dont believe you. Could very well be true.
  3. They should grab Huntington Bank building on the corner of East 9th and Euclid
  4. Masterson still doesn't get the win. It has to be aggravating for how well he has been pitching.
  5. I think downtown would be able to draw people downtown the same way Crocker Park draws people to Crocker Park. Stores... I know it cant just happen but if you look at what Crocker Park is, and how they draw people(even from the east side suburbs), it because people want to go to stores that might be the only one in the region and to experience the atmosphere. Downtown destroys Crocker Park in atmosphere obviously but Crocker Park unfortunately kills downtown in retail. Move those same stores downtown and I guarantee they would have the same business, if not better.
  6. It makes sense for K&D to want that property if that is the one the story was talking about. The Carter Manor lies directly next to the Ameritrust Complex. This would make both properties more desirable. This area could really see a big boom. Blue is the extent of the Ameritrust Complex Red is the Carter Manor Green are other current/underway/kindofhappening projects with possible residential aspects(Truman, Schofield, John Hartness Brown). [glow=red,2,300]Yellow are current residential buildings(Statler Arms, Osborn/Huron Square, Prospect Place).[/glow]
  7. Basically the tiny little article(found it in the paper), says that they acquired a 120 unit apartment complex in Euclid which is their fourth acquisition since the last quarter in 2010. It goes on to say they hope to add 1,000 units to their portfolio of about 13,000 units in NEO. And the company expects to close on a 270 unit project in downtown Cleveland by September.
  8. Is 1010 Euclid Avenue completely vacant? Also, has it ever been considered for residential conversion because I think it would be perfect for it and would add life to that part of Euclid Avenue.
  9. That would be incredible
  10. Went downtown with my parents and girlfriend a few days ago to go out to dinner. We ended up at Flannerys(had a great meal and time) and also decided to go check out the avengers set on East 9th and walk through the Colonial and Old arcades. My parents really enjoyed it. Loved east 4th as well. They said that from now on when they want to go out to dinner they are going to come downtown. They said there sick of going to the same suburban chains and downtown offers a whole better experience as well.
  11. Its easy driving on Euclid Avenue to me because ive walked down the street and rode the bus countless times so I am familiar with how it works. I do see people less familiar get confused though. I wonder why they didn't paint the bus lane to separate it from the car lane like ive seen in other cities like NYC.
  12. They should take the space next to Jimmy Johns
  13. Thats unfortunate. I would have guessed that the East 9th one would have been the one to go. I guess they get a larger daytime crowd though. I would like to see Phoenix Coffee open another location downtown that could have similar hours to the West 9th one, but closer to Euclid Avenue.
  14. Wow, look at the Sterling Center

Looking good! Thanks for the pictures!
  16. Didnt think Id ever say this but I cant wait for this dumbass garage to get built. That corner looks like an ugly mess right now. Even the ugly garage will make the corner look better then current state. Atleast they didnt want just a lot...

  18. I love its convenience during the winter time. As somebody who rides it a lot, prospect would be out of the way for me and serve way less people. Maybe it would be better if they moved the trolley to use the bus only lane and middle platforms instead. The healthline is very hard to get on downtown going west because of there large ridership.
  19. I agree. The trolley on Euclid could be rerouted in favor of a free Health Line between Public Square and CSU. Since the trolleys only run 7am-7pm M-F, you could get easily get more ridership between Playhouse Square and East 4th for weekends and evening events, especially during the colder months. The Healthline is too busy between those points. I think the trolley helps relieve the traffic a bit.

    Made my own lol
  21. Went there today. They were giving people name tags instead using actual names. So people were getting names like "Mario", "Robin Williams", and we were "Luna Lovegood." I saw a "King James" which I didn't understand. Anyways it took over an hour for 2 to get seated around 6. By the time we got seated we heard them telling other couples up to 2 hours. Food took probably an additional 50 minutes. Definitely wouldn't be able to handle that weight on a regular/semi regular basis. More locations could help. Also the restaurants dont seem to have that many tables. I heard they plan on opening one in an east side suburb. Downtown Willoughby would probably the best fit.
  22. Melt Bar and Grill is opening a location in Independence on October 7th. Wish it could have been downtown instead.
  23. Was just looking at that street yesterday
