  1. Some nice, well-cared for homes. Is there a commercial area serving this neighborhood? I assume this is Youngstown best section? Thanks for posting.
  2. Wonderful photo tour of this magnificent, super-urban neighborhood. And the coming streetcar will make it even more fabulous. Thanks so much for posting.
  3. Very well done. But I confess that your use of that trite, ubiquitous and now meaningless word "awesome" I found irritating. What's the story with that shot of a parking lot? Where is it and what's going on there? Thanks again for posting.
  4. Good news for you: MARC Penn Line trains about to start operating on Saturdays and Sundays. 7 round-trips in Saturday and 4 roundd-trips on Sunday. Enjoy the ride!

    Where are the people?
  6. Excellent pictures, ink, thanks for posting them. I like Reading a lot for its amazing density, row house neighborhoods, railroad history. Your shots are great, but you missed the old downtown train station which is undergoing renovation - may be completed by now. While in the neighborhood, take a look at York, PA, another well preserved small city. See my pictures at Picasaweb.google.com/miklospogonyi

Great pictures, thanks so much for posting. I just returned from Syracuse myself (see pics at picasaweb.google.com/miklospogonyi). There really positive things happening downtown, and I consider Syracuse as having the most improved downtown of all the larger upstate NEw York cities. The surrounding residential neighborhoods are not doing nearly so well. But also on the upswing is the Italian area along North Salina Street. You might take a look there as well next time. Thanks again.
  8. Very fine photos, many thanks for posting. I love Toledo and always wish it the best, but on my visits I am always struck and saddened by the absence of people on the streets, as also exemplified by your pictures. So much magnificent architecture, so little life! If case you are interested in my photos from Toledo you can see them (and a zillion others from almost everywhere east of the Mississippi) go to picasaweb.google.com/miklospogonyi

Great pictures, Summit Street. You seem to get around as many cities as I do. Are some of the last pictures switched from Des Moines to Kansas City? There's what looks suspiciously like Kansas City Union Station. Is it? I also loved your Albany NY photos. Coincidentally, I recently visited Albany as well. Check out my photos at www.picasaweb.google.com/miklospogonyi I'm guessing you are from Toledo, OH, hence "Summit Street"?

Terrific pictures of Buffalo's resurgent downtown. You caught on film many, if not most, of downtown's more interesting buildings and streetscapes. It makes me want to re-visit Buffalo again. I have taken many pictures there myself, including in neighborhoods away from downtown. If interested, go to www.picasaweb.google.com/miklospogonyi
  11. Well done, Nexis4Jersey. I assume you live across the river. I live in Philly and for many pics of little seen spots away from the train station area, go to my pics at www.picasaweb.goggle.com/miklospogonyi where you'll also find countless pics of several Jersey cities: Paterson, Newark & Jersey City.
  12. Nice pictures of this truly booming city. And, by the way, there's still plenty of grit left there. Check out my J.C. pictures at picaseweb.google.com/miklospogonyi
  13. Good pictures of a very sad city. But you overlooked one magnificent downtown building, Union Station!
