Governor John Kasich
^ You seem to be the only one here, of any color, taking it that way. Granted, most of us are white.

Metro Cincinnati: Road & Highway News
They would be better off building a massive garage at the bottom of the hill and providing shuttle service to the hospitals and campuses for those who park there.

Columbus: Re-branding & Identity
We should have a density pissing contest.

Cincinnati Bengals Discussion
At least some COAST people were all for the stadium tax, for example.

Columbus: Re-branding & Identity
No Boo, you have to forecast in today's dollars what a change like that would be. Here is an example. Do you know what it cost for SOHIO to change it name to BP America? or Time Warner to AOL Time Warner then back to Time Warner (with a new logo)? I was just pointing out the way you tried to make the point before was not useful.

Cincinnati Bengals Discussion
It's an issue which really exposes the hypocrisy of the usual suspects.

MTS for Governor 2014

Columbus: Re-branding & Identity
$0 in 1790 dollars is also $0 in 2011 dollars, to answer your original question.

Governor John Kasich
^^ There would be more black Republicans, if there weren't so many Republicans like Kasich who pretend there is nothing wrong with excluding minorities from appointments.

Columbus: Re-branding & Identity
^ Losantiville became Cincinnati two years after settlement. I don't think there was any cost involved.

Columbus: Re-branding & Identity
Change the name, already.

Governor John Kasich
No politician would say that if they thought about the possible implications. Even if they think it, deep down...which I don't expect Kasich does, as much as I don't like him. Let the "KKK/Tea Party" be the overreacting idiots. I won't bite.

Ukraine- Cherkassy
While the tone of the post needs some work, it seems fair to voice honest concerns.

Forest Park: Forest Fair Mall / Cincinnati Mills Redevelopment
I love the indoor mountain bike park idea. The agriculture museum might have potential, but I don't quite understand the concept.

Cincinnati: Over-the-Rhine: Mercer Commons
It would be cool if they were to use the facade for a stylish entrance to the garage.

Ohio's cultural boundaries and markers?
I think he means it's not East or West. I don't think 74 works, because White Oak, Monfort Heights, and Colerain are totally West Side.

Ohio's cultural boundaries and markers?
Does anyone consider Northside to be West Side in Cincy? I mean, it's west of Vine, 75, and the Mill Creek...but I can't imagine anyone saying that. What about College Hill?

Another Dumb-a$$ List / Ranking of Cities
If this is a gay pissing contest, I'm in.

Another Dumb-a$$ List / Ranking of Cities
Gay people are creepy, and desirable. That's the vibe I'm getting from the last post. It's a weird one.

Ohio - historical railroad maps
Notice the pre-WW1 street names! e.g. Republic = Bremen. Also, the West End/Kenyon-Barr street grid is interesting. What a great map, with the streets, railroads, and streetcars all included. Oh, and the inclines, of course!

Cincinnati Bengals Discussion
It's a shame, but like Rabbit Hash and others are saying...let them go if it comes to that; it's not worth being held hostage by Mike Brown any longer! I wonder, though, what would happen to the stadium after that. Talk about a boondoggle!!!

Ohio Intercity Rail (3C+D Line, etc)
I presume from this statement that you're one of those who buy into the "war for oil" meme. I'm going to to derail (no pun intended) this thread to get into that one--but let's just say that the validity of that meme is open to question. I took the implication to be that oil money is funding terrorists and anti-American regimes.

Vegetarians?
Does it matter if he is technically a vegetarian? For all intents and purposes, he is for 6/7ths of the time. Obviously, he does it to be healthy. If you really want to "convert" him, you will have to make healthy meat dishes, and convince him he's no better off not eating them.

Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
CityBeat is the most likely candidate, and they have the loudest non-Enquirer (and non-TV network) voice. Internet-based reporters preach to their choirs, for the most part.
