If they start slapping the name on lots of things (say, a streetcar stop), I might start to feel differently. For now it just makes the project slightly more interesting, in an absurd sort of way.

Considering the suck-ass service Cincinnati gets, it's surprising the numbers are so high. 14228 passengers/(52 weeks * 3 days the Cardinal runs) = 91 people traveling on each day the Cardinal comes through. 91 / 2 Cardinal trains (to CHI and DC) = 45.5 people from Cincy on each train, arriving in the middle of the night. Quite impressive, IMO.

Who is attacking Kasich by claiming he is gay? I saw an article from 1996, but how is it relevant now? Scrabble's overreaction is so insane, I might wear it for Halloween.

If you accept that "business as usual" is not a recipe for success, then the streetcar project is a very easy one to support. The saying goes: "Better to have tried and failed than never to have tried at all." You yourself acknowledge that we are around the point of "too late". We must try.

It already looks retro, so I wouldn't expect it to age too badly. I actually like it. But I reserve the right to change my mind.
