Ohio Intercity Rail (3C+D Line, etc)
Love the Zelda reference. :D Yeah, the whole situation is just ridiculous. This is exactly the kind of thing which gives Ohio its negative reputation and pushes people away (we all know a number of them, right?). I'm glad to see the Cincy streetcar moving forward, otherwise the 3C battle would be much more grating.

Neat find. Beware old linoleum, though. A lot of it contains asbestos. You should wear an approved mask, and keep everything wet as you go. Best of all, don't disturb it unless you have to. But...but...if it were wet, he wouldn't have a nice preserved copy of the Cleveland Times!!! You are right, though.- 2009 Population Estimates for Ohio Cities over 50,000
How about: on the bright side, these estimates probably have a margin of error larger than %0.09 ... so Cincinnati very well may have gained residents.- Another Dumb-a$$ List / Ranking of Cities
I think it's more complicated than that. Many (most?) of the NYC, Chicago, San Francisco, Boston, DC fans also value charming, walkable neighborhoods. Those of us who value affordable, charming, walkable neighborhoods that are not hyped by the media every hour are in a small minority.- Cleveland & Akron Inter-City Relations
Can you name an Ohio city which is not like this?- Another Dumb-a$$ List / Ranking of Cities
In this economy, she's insane to turn down a good job unless she's really cute and has a dense resume. And Atlanta? I've heard that attitude in regards to New York and Chicago, but never Atlanta. I've heard it from some black people. ATL has a bit of a "black mecca" appeal (kind of like NYC/SF being "gay meccas").- Ohio Supreme Court News
Hopefully someone gets together a constitutional amendment for this. It would easily pass.- New York City November 11th-14th. need ideas...
^ I'll just say, if you stay near a PATH station in Hoboken or JC, it's basically like staying a subway stop or two from Lower Manhattan. No big deal. Hoboken is nice, JC is kinda...meh. Good Indian food, though, in JC's Little India. Hoboken looks a lot like a fully gentrified Over-the-Rhine.- New York City November 11th-14th. need ideas...
Most kids haven't had an opportunity to develop a princess complex. If raised right, they mostly accept doing what they're told as normal and correct. Wives? Hmph. I've seen enough of my friends totally "schwipped" to imagine how that might work. I agree with the cab, unless it's breaking the bank. Then go ahead with the bus. EWR would be easier with a train to Penn Station (or a cab with less traffic), but that's neither here nor there at this point.- Cleveland Hopkins International Airport
- Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
^ Where did that come from? They voted for the streetcar several times. Maybe they just think the route is something best left to the experts. Why is there an assumption that city council should be the ones to decide the route of the streetcar?- Cleveland Hopkins International Airport
- Cincinnati: Downtown: Queen City Square
Pittsburgh's downtown is just in a perfect location. Cincinnati's buildings are on par with P-burgh, but the geographical environment puts Cincy in second place. That wedge is to die for. (via http://www.vmi.pitt.edu/About_Pittsburgh.html) I can't think of an American skyline which tops Pittsburgh's.- Off Topic

I really wasn't reading that much into it. Sorry, I'm glad CMH is getting the flights. Just couldn't resist the hyperbole. I've discussed this with MD88Pilot (or whatever his name is...) ad nauseum in the CVG thread, and I don't want to derail this thread, but what you call "right-sizing" the CVG hub is highly debatable. After manufacturing a culture where Cincinnatians instinctively & habitually bargain hunt and drive 50-100 miles to fly, Delta's "right-sizing" is sized to an artificially low O&D. - Off Topic
