"You know you feel blue/When you're out of sync with your CPU" Apples in Stereo - CPU This song cracks me up.
  2. Wouldn't that have the same problems as the fountain? Like visibility? And maybe attracting pedestrians?
  3. This might be too distracting for drivers, but what about doing this with a high clearance from the outside to the center of the circle:
  4. Do you know any of the details about Mrs. Nippert's relationship with Carter Randolph? Is he or Greenacres poised to receive a windfall via Mrs. Nippert's will? I sure hope not.
  5. ^^ Awesome, thanks!
  6. It's sad the whole thing is driving a ninety-something year old woman's name through the mud. I wish someone close to her, who is not on the Greenacres gravy train, would have a chat with her about the whole deal. I really wonder what her mental state is. I also hope the financial might of Greenacres and its board does not bulldoze justice and let them get away with this crap.
  7. What would you suggest? Toenail?
  8. Who cares if it looks contemporary? Most contemporary architecture looks like trash. The building would look very nice if it were better proportioned. As it is, it looks alright, but not as nice as it could. The sooner a significantly taller building shows up between this one and the Carew, the better. Partly because it will make the sheer chubbiness of the QC/GAT less prominent.
  9. Are you trying to say it looks overweight and stuck in the past?
  10. Mmm, hot!
  11. No. That editorial was trying to say that economic development should only be a focus after crime is dealt with...which sounds nice but it doesn't work that way.
  12. I didn't mean "can we only pick one to support?", but rather "should I write three emails, instead of one?".

^ Do people really say that?
  14. Is it okay to write one email in support of all three, or will that throw the tabulators for a loop?
  15. ^ I believe the correct term is "dirty sandpit".
  16. I get it with Chrome on my laptop, but not with Firefox on my desktop. Which browser do you use? I don't think this is a factor, but laptop - Vista, desktop - XP.
  17. I'm sure it goes something like this: "Cut all spending but public safety and a couple other things. Once the crime level is down (after throwing tons of money at policing and a new jail), the pension system is fixed, and the city's budget is clearly in the black, then we can think about 'luxuries' like a streetcar."
  18. Streetcar and 3C funding both up for vote today. This could be very good, very bad, or somewhere in between.

If he seems mature enough to handle a geezer, I say there's nothing wrong with it. The family will get used to it, and learn to see past his age.

But they'd be missing the opportunity to prove how much they don't believe in global warming. They won't be able to for much longer, because Obama's going to take away their gas guzzlers along with their guns. Once the Green Nazis are through with us, and they've taken our cars and managed to exert control over all facets of our lives, we'll have all the time in the world to ride bicycles. It is for this reason bicycles are socialist and fascist and unAmerican.
  21. I thought it was .5%? Otherwise, a nice article.

I'm not surprised Tea Partiers would not be cyclists.
  23. ^ From the Enquirer article: "The site was the malt and lager house of the former Kaufman Brewing Co. from 1869 through 1919." Damn prohibition...
  24. This really is good news. I believe OTR becoming a brewing haven again is a vital part of putting the city back on the map. It brings back recognizable history and culture.
  25. ^ 1621 Moore St., the old Kaufman Brewery/Husman's factory. Beer brewing to resume in OTR Christian Moerlein Brewing Co. plans to expand brewing operations to Cincinnati's historic Over-the-Rhine Brewery District, the company said Friday. The site will be the former Husman Potato Chip plant at 1621 Moore St. just north of Liberty and east of Vine. Greg Hardman, CEO of Christian Moerlein, said he plans to initially move office operations there from Middletown. Then he plans to phase in beer production over two years for some of its specialty beers and from the expected growth of its brands. Brewing operations are scheduled to begin in 2011, Hardman said.
